Movie Monday 29 faces day 28

 Greetings!

I had a truly wonderful day yesterday. I logged on to FB and there was a PM from a longtime friend that I have not heard from in many years. One of the perks of FB. She sent her phone number and then we spent several hours catching up on the phone. This connection put a new life in me. It also reminded me how much we all need other humans in our lives. Ya know, good people that share without taking, can speak of things with honesty and not argue, to bring up the past, the now and the future with respect. I didn't realize how much I miss that.

I mentioned last week that I took advantage of the free trial of Epix. There are some great movies and series on. One series, that even Mr. M. got hooked on, is Chapelwaite. The stars are Adrien Broody, Jennifer Ens, and Emily Hampshire. The story is about a family that the towns people believe is cursed. However, they are not. Broody, a ship's captain brings his 3 daughters back to  Chaelwaite after his wife dies at sea. He has to prove that they are not the cause of the bad things happening to the town. The story is an American horror series based on the Steven King book, "Jerusalem's Lot." Yes, Steven King is my all time favorite and between Mr. M and I we own most of his books.

Now, day 28 for 29 faces.

Stop by BY EAGHL to see her face for today.

Have a great day!

Nicole

I'm glad for you that you had that connection with an old friend...Any connection these days is a treasure. I so miss just sitting with someone and gabbing. It just isn't happening. I'm thankful for my husband and my Mama and my goose! I love your face in this post.

How will there be 29 faces in February when it only has 28 days this year? The mind boggles!

FB has reconnected me with several childhood friends. What a wonderful opportunity it has been for me :)

I don't get that channel. So many channels!

Every one of your faces speaks to me! I admire your creativity very much. I'm definitely with you on the looming threat that Putin's unconscionable war will consume more than just one innocent neighboring country, though it's been horrifying enough to see bombardment of the cities in Ukraine.

How neat to reconnect with a friend. That’s Facebook at its best, but I guess I’m not a Facebook fan. Long story, but I tried the platform numerous times. Each time there was something that made me feel creeped out and I deleted my account. Eventually, I decided I’d try again with only my own family as my friends. That seemed comfortable. But it wasn’t meant to be I guess, Facebook deleted my account and won’t let me back. Can you believe it?! I guess I came and went too many times. Do you know anyone else who has been banned from Facebook?! I can’t believe that this 79 year old mother and grandmother (me) is perceived as any kind of threat!
The kicker is my high school class web site is on Facebook, and I can’t see it! What a riot! I’m OK with it though, Facebook banning me really turned me against it, and my husband shows me anything our kids post on his account. Enough about Facebook 😖
I always love you clay faces Nicole, make tons more!

That's a fun face! I think she's the Woman in the Moon! I was interested to learn you lived in Florence (from a comment on mine) -- we are in Eugene about half the year(summer/fall usually) and of course we make as many trips to the Coast as we can squeeze in. I'll scroll back through your posts to see what I can learn -- am interested to find out if you display your work in any of the galleries etc....

This may be my favorite clay face so far. Glad you got to talk to an old friend you found on FB. Sounds like a good movie, too, because I also love King.

Nicole,

We tried watching this movie but found it difficult to get into. There are some films like that for us. Perhaps at another time it'll click for us but horror isn't a preferred movie genre. We enjoy watching zombie and vampire flicks or series. Would this be more in like with Science Fiction? I have found these in that genre and as well as in horror. I appreciated the review and recommendation.

FB is a great way to reconnect with old friends but I don't trust their messenger for anything. I don't mind passing my email address to a friend but anything more than that then I'd rather do that through personal email communications. That's wonderful that you had a long and enjoyable conversation with your friend. I haven't had one of those in a long time with a friend but it's really cool how you can pick right back up where you left things off. I have some friends that I feel that way about, too. :) Have a good day, my dear!
