Hi Everyone!
First I pounded the pork. This was one large piece cut in half. |
I season with garlic salt and poultry seasoning |
Get the dressing started. Put a lid on it and set aside. |
Wash and prepare the potatoes. I "bake" mine in the microwave for 5 minutes. They come out perfectly. |
Chop some onion and celery |
Melt some butter or ghee in the pan |
Saute the onions and celery just until the onions are translucent. Then set aside. |
In the same pan add a bit of olive or grapeseed oil and brown the pork just a little. This is going into the oven. |
Mix the dressing and onion together and put into a baking dish. Place the pork on top and put into a 385°F 196°C for about 15 minutes. |
I NEVER use boxed food but I didn't have time to make my own dressing from scratch. I got Stovetop pork flavor and I must say it is REALLY good! |

Good morning Nicole, we eat allot of pork these days so I am always looking for new ideas-love your photo tutorial and recipe for your dish.
Thank you so much for promoting Food Wednesdays and linking up-I appreciate it-hugs
I enjoy seeing your faces too Happy Mid week and Food Wednesdays Hugs from the Lake Kathy
That's a tragic looking face today!
Wow, you sure beat that pork up, LOL! Ingo always uses... a hammer (at least with the tick end).
Hmmm, looks a bit like Schnitzel. YUM!
Is the face astonished or sad, I cannot decide....
...dinners looks good at your place.
I have a box of Stove Top stuffing and I have a baking potato plus green beans but sadly no pork chops:-(
Great face and delicious pork!
Yum, this looks really good! I haven't made pork in a long time. Usually, I'll buy a pork loin to cook in the oven for my barbecue pork but fixed like this...nope never have...I don't think. Eons ago, I liked frying pork chops but I don't buy pork on the bone anymore. You get little meat which makes it kinda expensive. I may have to try using grapeseed oil. Does it work well for most foods? DH seems sensitive to many veggie oils. Right now I primarily use corn which doesn't seem to bother him that he can tell. Thanks for the food inspiration!
we use boxed food all the time, just easier and safer
Your food always looks good! Valerie
That a huge meal, but it does look really good. I remember when I used to be able to eat all that. No more. And I probably weighed less when I could eat it all than now. Oh those metabolisms. But I think I would have to make a big effort to try to eat as much of this as possible, full or not. Happy Wednesday Nicole. hugs-Erika
I've never pounded pork that way, only chicken. Looks like a delicious meal.
Nicole...shhhhh... i 'bake' my potatoes in the microwave too... come out delicious! And StoveTop? i gave up making homemade stuffing awhile ago.. Everybody i cook for loves StoveTop so why bother... lol Great post! Hugs! deb
OMG it was such a huge meal. Should have left out the potato. LOL
Other than the pork, your meal looks good. I've not heard of Stove Top for pork, but I have used the original on occasion. I actually prefer it to my dressing.
You can come and cook at my house any time you want. We make everything from scratch too. Prepared food is so full of salt, chemicals and taste enhancers. No wonder it tastes good. As for baked potatoes, we do ours in the oven so that the skin crisps up nicely. In the summer we often set them on the barbecue.
Your recipes are always Interesting!
Also like your 23rd face.
Have a nice day!
dish you made looks tasty indeed :)
face is fascinating ,nice art !
