Movie Monday

Hi Everyone!

Here it is Monday already. Before I get into this weeks movie I want to remind everyone that Feb. 1 is the start to 29 Faces. Grannie Annie and I are going to post and link with each other. If anyone wants to join in, please just create a face in any medium and let us know so we can all exchange links. Martha, the creator and host for 29 Faces, no longer links up on blogger but on FB and I believe IG.

One thing I watched this last week was the Janet Jackson documentary. I, like most of the world, have been a Janet fan from her early days. The documentary was excellent. Well done with some very interesting insights. I watched it on Lifetime so I think it will air again.

Blogger is not playing nice with my fonts today.
So, sorry if it doesn't look right.
This is a movie I own but watched it again on Netflix.
The cast is excellent to name just a few,
Samuel L Jackson, Julianne More, Edie Falco, and William Forsyth. The movie is about a mother blames the disappearance of her child on a black man from the projects after she reports a carjacking. A detective (Samuel L. Jackson) suspects the woman is hiding something, and he enlists the aid of a missing-child activist (Edie Falco). While the investigation continues, the media amplifies the case's notoriety, bringing up some tough racial issues.
Julianne More does an excellent job in this movie.
This is a highly charged and emotional movie.

That's for now, enjoy your day.

Nicole

Hi Nicole, I look forward to seeing all your faces in February. I don't use FB or IG anymore so i'm very glad for blogger to be able to see people's makes.
I saw the JJ documentary advertised but i've never watched Freedomland. I've made a mental note of it as me & hubby take time out for a movie together when days have been busy, it's a great way to wind down after a trying day.
Wishing you a super week hugs Tracey x

I was going to watch the Janet Jackson film, but fell asleep right before it came on. Knowing Lifetime, it will be on again quite soon.

Wow, some big names in that movie. Edie Falco looks so different from when she played Mrs. Soprano.

I will watch the movie you mentioned (Freedonland) :-) I'm so curious ... I have time, due to the fact that I have to stay home, as my two daughters have just been tested positive for covid-19 (Omicron variant), despite they had received two doses of vaccine :-(

Have a nice week!

Janet is quite a talent in her own rights...compleletly overshadowed by the great MJ

Documentaries tends to be one of those types I don't watch... not sure why. I hadn't heard of the other one but will look for it. Thanks!

I am eager to watch both of these recommendations. I believe I have seen Freedomland but I am so old I can watch over and enjoy just like it was the first time. I will be posting my 29 FACES daily on my "By EAGHL" page and will post the entire group on the last day.
