TAD Pop Art

Greetings!

It's time for another theme with Rain. Ya know TAD. She always knows how to pick em'.
This week it's all about Pop Art. Now PA has never been my thing. I am not sure I even enjoy viewing it.
So what is PA?
Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the United Kingdom and the United States during the mid- to late-1950s. The movement presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane
mass-produced objects.
I like modern abstract PA. Hopes these qualify.

Colored pencil on paper.
Acrylic on canvas

My Nicole's BeadBacking cut and glued on canvas.
Stop by Rain's blog to see what all the TAD gang created. The head to Rain's YT channels. You won't be disappointed.

These are great, Nicole. I really like the first one. It is clever and so well done. All three are great examples of pop art.

Another great display Nicole an variations of Pop Art, the beadbacking collage is beautiful with it's burst of colour, i'd be delighted to have something like that hanging on my wall.
Happy TAD Hugs Tracey xx

I guess pop art will always be associated with Any Warhol, who propelled it to heights even he probably never dreamed possible.

Hey Nicole,

These are neat, especially the last one - just love the colors! The first illustration is quite abstract. How on earth did you come up with this? My brain sorta shuts down when I try to make it think in abstract. It certainly doesn't come to me naturally. I usually have to find inspirations through examples I come across and then sometimes nothing at all comes to me. You're a great artist! Thanks for visiting me on Curious as a Cathy"> today, my dear!

Well, for someone who doesn't like Pop Art, you sure know how to produce it. Love the first one ... a very cool character and the colors in the last two are awesome as well. Well done in spite of it not being your thing :) Stay safe, Nicole and on to next week's Sculpture :)

cool, I loved to see the acrylics and the beadbacking cuts. In a way they are the same idea but one is splashed the other hard formed. Interesting! :)

such edgy art... I'm a fan!! Thank you for the last statement... get vax and wear masks. One keeps you safer the other slows the spread
