TAD Doorways and Alleys

Greetings!

Today is TAD with Rain and the theme is
Doorways and Alleys.

Before I get to that though, I want to thank everyone for all the well wishes. My 2nd covid vax knocked me for a loop. As with the first vax I was fine and had energy to spare. This 2nd one has taken my energy, chills and heavy in the chest now for 4 days. Not to mention on Tuesday I had to drive over to Salem for Mr. M. doc appt. It's been a rough week, but I am laughing and seeing the good of it.
The sun is suppose to be out today with no rain so I am hoping for a great day.

While I was in the car waiting for Mr. M. I sketched this one for today.
I was playing with painted and ended up with this. Painted before my vax.

Of course I have to throw this in. 3 years ago when I was in DC, visiting my daughter, we had to go see the house and steps in the movie, "The Exorcist"
These steps are visited by people from all over the world.
They are VERY steep and I was impressed that a young man was using then as his running workout. It took my daughter and I a while to get up them.

Well that is it for now. Be sure to stop by Rain's to see what all the other artists are showing today.
Hey it is also Paint Party Friday
Come join in.

Lovely door Nicole, and those steps are incredibly steep!! Glad you are surviving this 2nd vaccine!

Oh how lucky you got to walk the Exorcist stairs! Those stairs were so brilliantly filmed, they really freaked me out!!! :) Your doors are fabulous, especially the drawn one. I'm sorry you are so sick from the vaccination! Ugh that scares me...But there is still no word here on when they will be available...though there are only 8 active cases of the plague in my province and they are all way up north. Still though, if the vax was available to me, I'd probably get it!

Yikes, I'm sorry the vaccination is causing you so much trouble, Nicole! I hope you're over this soon. I love your doorway! I hope to try sketching something soon but I'm so busy with A2Z right now which I do appreciate you stopping off to look at my first Looney Tunes A-Z Art Sketch, ACME Mail Order Catalog. Feel better soon, dearie! XX

Glad you are recovering from the second dose.
I like your big wooden door. Your abstract with the bright colors looks like it was meditative to make.
I'd have to be in much better shpae to climb those stairs!
Have a really good weekend. :)

Sorry to read about that 2nd jab Nicole, had a runaround past few days and had to squeeze in 2nd jabs before Easter break, feeling very foggy brained today. Your doorway sketch and painting are quite poignant, ready for a new door to open.
I hope this weekend is a better one for you, take care and Happy Easter Hugs Tracey x

I didn’t experience any discomfort of note after either shot. Thankful is what I feel since I’ve heard from many that it’s not unusual to feel badly. It does pass, however, and it’s an investment in living. Your art is wonderful. I marvel at how you work it into other activities.

I would have never thought the exorcist stairway's steps are so steep.
I love both the paintings of the doors!
Sorry you didn't feel well after you had got the second vaccine.
Have a nice Easter weekend!

How wonderful, Nicole. You certainly captured doors in art and photo. This turned out great, too. Good job.

Love that doorway sketch. I would enjoy seeing that staircase. In the movie it incredibly spooky. Heard a few people saw that the after effects second jab are worse than for the first. I'm due my second jab soon. Fingers crossed I'll be OK. Stay Safe

I like the sketch and that colorful painting. What steep stairs! It'd give me a workout just going up them lol

Now those are steep steps- and I can't believe someone used them for running! Hope you're feeling much better. I know of lots of people who got similar (and some worse) reactions to the second vax.

I have heard from my friends that the second vaccine is a dozy, but I was lucky and had no reaction to either (then my poor little brain wonders if I actually got a second shot... ugh). As for your door, of course I see a face in it ... clear as day to me. I am sure that was not your intention, but it adds a touch of interest to a door, right? Love the bright colors of the second door and as for the stairs ... I am panting and puffing just looking at the picture. Good for you that you even make it up them :0 Fun post, except your being sick. Hope you are feeling better by now ...

Lovely drawing, I love doorways and arches. I live in a bungalow and I would find that many steeps a tad too much. As my Mum used to say " I have bungalow legs".

I like the door sketch. What a lot of steps.

I'm sorry to hear you have been feeling bad after your second vaccination.
I love that old door you have drawn. I love windows and doors.
Those steps are certainly not for the fainthearted. We live in a house with four floors and a stairway alongside it with 54 steps, so you can imagine it is keeping me fit. Now we are living downstairs and I will no doubt develop 'bungalow legs'. Lol.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

Thank you for being honest. The more so I will not want a vaccine, and that´s OK, even my 81-year old neighbor told me not to. What weird times, hope you feel better!!

Great sketch.

Running those stairs for "fun"?! Not my kind of fun, puuuuh...

I like both doors and can't choose my favorite, they're that good! 💜

I don't remember those steep steps in The Exorcist but, I do find 'em scary! 😏
