Covid Vaccine and art

Greetings!

Well today was the big day. Mr. M. and I received our first covid vaccine. We were given the Pfizer. I will tell you that it was painless. Before I knew it the girl was putting the band aid on my arm.  However, as fast as that was it took us 43 minutes to fill out paperwork and then to go through the line. It was a cattle call. The event itself is very organized but WAYYYYY too many people in one place. When we got home I sanitized EVERYTHING, took another shower and washed out clothes. We go back in 21 days for the second dose. Mr. M. came home and took a nap. He is still sleeping. Me? I am wired to the max. I love that. giggle
We will see how I feel tomorrow
This morning before the vaccine I got 5 containers planted with potatoes. We are in a 10 day rain and of course wind storm so they are in the greenhouse.
I also managed to draw this AM and afternoon. The boy's face, I just like.

Side by side I see the differences but that's OK. I feel good about this one.

Hope all of you are having a great weekend.

Now if only more people would follow your steps and go get vaccinated... 🤷‍♂️

Cute drawing of that boy, btw! 🙂

I'm glad you got your vaccinations. My friend and her husband got theirs at a Walmart and they barely had to wait any time and there wasn't a huge crowd. Other than that here in St Louis they have done a few mass vaccination events. I have mobility problems and those mass events require a lot of walking and standing which I am unable to do. I also worry about so many people gathered together.

My husband and I are on a waiting list.

Good for you! We had our second Pfizer shot almost 3 weeks ago, no side effects at all other than the usual slightly sore muscle. It went away quickly. Our experience was more user-friendly since my husband had registered from home online. No crowds at the NJ Mega Site, we were in and out in 15 minutes. Incredible organizing! Give yourselves a couple weeks to feel a little safer, but keep wearing masks, distancing and washing hands. I’m not sure it’s a help to shower and wash all clothes, but no matter how much you do, it can’t hurt! It’s tough to relax about all this after a year of being so careful. “You done good, girl!”

You should feel good about this portrait, there is a strong resemblance that’s especially bolstered by the spot-on depiction of the hair!

My first vaccine was painless as well. Love the portrait!

Wow! Look at you now with drawing hair!!! Excellent drawing-all of it, not just the hair. I'm a bit anxious of the second shot only because I've heard it can bring on the reactions. But my 89 year old mom had hers and didn't react at all! Wish we had your warmth-it'll be a while before I can plant anything.

Excellent! Please continue to tell us, if you have any reactions, please. Even if you get fever like symtoms. Love the drawing! Big Hugs!

Glad to read you have had your first vaccine Nicole you'll get your second before me by the sounds of it as we have to wait up to 12 weeks for ours my 2nd is due first week of April. First steps to keeping us all better protected. That sure is a lovely face, bet he's a heart breaker with that smile. Great drawing too, love the position of the eyes. Sorry i'm late getting here, free day today & been nursing a migraine, just my luck.
Take care Hugs Tracey xx

We got the 1st Pfizer vaccine, too. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes, and that included the post-vaccination 15 minute check. I was pleased ours was well-spaced, so I'm comfortable with my scheduled 2nd shot. I never felt the needle, but my arm was just a bit sore last night and this morning. That's about past now. I'll be so happy to be fully vaccinated! It's happening sooner than I would've expected.

I enjoy hearing about your plantings :)
