Weekend Post

Greetings!

The other day Mr. M. was out back, after a few minutes he opened the door and called out my name and to come see the birds. Now a few days earlier he told me that on his way home from the store he saw hundreds of Ravens circling the river. So when he called to me that is what I was expecting.
OMG!!!!!! There were hundreds and hundreds of Ravens flying over head in circles, landing in trees then flying again. They were so loud that Mr. M. and I had to shout when we spoke. I tried to get the movie part of my camera to work but no luck. So I just started shooting. I had my camera looking straight up at the birds when Mr. M. yelled, " You better not take photos like that those birds are going to shit on you." Ohhh duhhhh. I move from that position. LOL No I did not get pooped on. However, I hear that is good luck. ha ha ha. The Ravens were out there for about 30 minutes, then flew off. It was a pretty amazing sight.

I wish I could have photographed all of them.

Raven are amazing as a spirit guide animal. they are Raven is assuring you of the impeding change. He brings with him the ability to bend time and space for the perfect moment at the right time. He signifies rebirth, renewal, reflection and healing. He helps the transitions and transformations move along smoothly by casting light into the darkness.
Glad it didn't poop on you.
Stay safe and coffee is on

Alfred Hitchcock sure still does his job, huh? Especially on weekends it seems!
Hahaha. Once a seagull shit on me. The poo was brown and my friend... she, as others... they laughed their heads off (OK, I joined, what else). And no, I didn´t even feel lucky! Just pooped on.

P.S. I took pics at the store yesterday for you. I published them and I´ll do secretly better next time (I didn´t want to wait for how long ever to ask the "real" boss if I may take pics).

Think you captured those Ravens well, Nicole! 🖤🤍🖤🤍

Glad they didn't poop on you, but you know what people say...? It's luck 😜

I’m leaving this generic message so you don’t think I’m a flake. I didn’t feel good Friday, and when I woke, the entire area around the eye that got damaged last summer had swollen so badly, I couldn’t open it. After speaking with the vision specialist, the soonest I can get in is Monday morning. I am not to wear the eye patch I was given in case it might exacerbate the swelling, but I am to take the eyedrops I was given from before. Thanks for understanding why I haven’t been to visit you. Reminds me of the film The Birds.

Ravens and other birds behave in fascinating ways. I think flocking is a winter behavior. Here robins, crows, and other birds fly in flocks in winter. In spring they are more territorial, I think.

Everyone says it's Alfred Hitchcock's crows, but no ... I don't think so! Worse!
It's Edgar Allan Poe's ravens! Just kidding!
Ravens are very intelligent birds and I like them very much!

Wow! We don't have ravens here, and it looks like that was quite an experience!

It's easy to see that those birds weren't disturbing. Nice pictures!
Thanks for reminding me to wear a mask. I will continue to observe social distancing rules until I can.
Have a nice week 🌞

Oh wow! You remember if you have ever been close to a super flock like that. Yes, I remember it was almost deafening. Mine were some kind of smaller blackbirds, starlings or grackles--not large enough to be ravens--that flew into the neighborhood and landed everywhere for a rest of maybe 10-15 minutes. Wow! So cool! Makes you think of how many gigantic flocks of various birds there used to be compared to nowadays. :)

A flock with many ravens, with me there are also jackdaws or gulls in this crowd. Great photos of these ravens!

The pictures don't reveal a lot of detail, but I think they are crows, not ravens. Same family but different species.
