I had a quiet weekend, got my house cleaned and floors mopped. I spoke on the phone with my friend that lives a few blocks away. I also watched a movie that I have seen before but always enjoy. It's "What Happened to Monday".
What Happened to Monday (known as Seven Sisters in Canada, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Japan) is a 2017 dystopian science fiction action film directed by Tommy Wirkola and stars Noomi Rapace, Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe.
Glen Close and Noomi Rapace are two of my favorite actresses and how can you go wrong with Willem Dafoe? This movie takes place in a world where only one child is allowed due to overpopulation. Dafoe's daughter, in secrete, has identical girl septuplets. The mother dies and Dafoe takes on the chore of raising and hiding the girls. All played by Noomi Rapace. The girls are named for the days of the week and that is the day they are allowed to go out. For me the movie was excellent. The story line held my attention, it felt like a life that could really happen. I own this movie but you can see it on Netflix.

Wow. Could be China, right. One-child only. Horrible. My Brother is more than 5 years younger so I grew up like an only child for long and was always "jealous" when I had to leave my friends, whose siblings stayed to play and I had to go to a quiet house.
But this scenario is even worse! Being stuck with six siblings all week except one day and then lie? Being hunted down?
Sadly Netflix is not for us. We´d get it in German. Ingo just ordered good ole fashioned DVDs from Great Britain, so we can see movies in the original - movies from the 70s are not available here. Plus, haha... the stores are closed anyways!
