Wow Wednesday
Hi Everyone!
Yesterday, I got up and started my day like any other. It was mad stormy and cold in my house. It was one of those days where I knew I wasn't going to do much. Wellll.... that was an understatement. I found a series on Amazon Prime and got hooked. It's called, "The Wilds"
I don't watch series on regular TV because there are too many commercials and I don't want to wait a week to see what happens.
So binge watching is good for me. LOL
Here is the first episode
Yesterday I posted the new colors from Pantone. Some of you didn't know about Pantone and others thought the colors, especially the gray were not so great for 2021. I want to share a bit about Pantone and the reasoning behind the color choice.
PANTONE
17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating, two independent
colors that highlight how different elements come together to support
one another, best express the mood for Pantone Color of the Year 2021.
Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic,
the union of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647
Illuminating is one of strength and positivity. It is a story of color
that encapsulates deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of
something sunny and friendly.
A message of happiness supported by fortitude, the combination of
PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is
aspirational and gives us hope. We need to feel that everything is going
to get brighter – this is essential to the human spirit.
As people look for ways to fortify
themselves with energy, clarity, and hope to overcome the continuing
uncertainty, spirited and emboldening shades satisfy our quest for
vitality. PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is a bright and cheerful yellow
sparkling with vivacity, a warming yellow shade imbued with solar power.
PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray is emblematic of solid and dependable
elements which are everlasting and provide a firm foundation. The colors
of pebbles on the beach and natural elements whose weathered appearance
highlights an ability to stand the test of time, Ultimate Gray quietly
assures, encouraging feelings of composure, steadiness and resilience.
Emboldening
the spirit, the pairing of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE
13-0647 highlights our innate need to be seen, to be visible, to be
recognized, to have our voices heard. A combination of color whose ties
to insight, innovation and intuition, and respect for wisdom,
experience, and intelligence inspires regeneration, pressing us forward
toward new ways of thinking and concepts. Check out Pantone's website.I always wanted to be on the color team. It is quite a process from many people with different backgrounds that choose the colors. Last but not least here is what I did while I watched, "The Wilds"I've drawn this girl before and I am hoping each time gets better. LOLI just really like her face.
Well that's it for now. I hope you have a wonderful day.Be Safe Out There And Wear A Mask Nicole/DVArtist Honor and integrity

Your drawing is very beautiful! I love her expressive eyes. I've wondered about this series. It's hard to know until you see one of the shows. Enjoy your day! Like your thoughts of color!
I like your ladies face also. I think it is fun to repeat things in art, or at least interesting. I have only done it a few times. Perhaps I will give the Wilds a try ;-) Interesting also about the new years colors. Seems most colors do go well with Gray. Not sure that I would have put them together, but they do seem to work.
I have no idea how I missed this post. I still don't care for that color combination. I remember a few years ago when they had a weird green (pale and spring grass color) matched with salmon. Those colors spoke to me. I don't have Prime, or Netflix so I deal with regular tv. I really like the face. Stay warm and safe, dear.

That's interesting about the colours! Thanks for sharing the tv show! I love your face! Big Hugs!
Another beautiful portrait, and those greys and yellows are lovely. The Wilds looks good, I'll check it out.
