Wednesday AEDM 25

Hi Everyone!

Today I am going to be busy in the kitchen. When I finish this I will start some Anadama bread for my landlord, he is getting a big bag of baked goods later today. He picks it up off my porch.  I am also baking some almond shortbread cookies. The main thing is I am getting the Manicotti ready for tomorrow's dinner. Oh and I will bake some no kneed, beer batter french bread too. I have gained 5 lbs just writing this all down. I make the best cheese filling for Manicotti, this year seasoned with herbs from my garden. The sauce will cook all day too.
So I better get to it.
Here is the girl I am working on. I will go back in to lighten up her lips. I think they are a bit too dark, but I will know after her eyes go in.

As you know the lighting in my house is awful. Even if I set my camera
to Candescent lighting. I was messing with some settings in Adobe and I hit
the contrast in the black and white setting and "she" appeared.
She feeds into my macobre' spirit. I think I will print this
and make some cabs with it. I love her NO EYES LOL

Well that is it for now. Off to the kitchen for me.

Mmmm, manicotti! I always fill in the eyes first because looking at blank eyeballs creeps me out.

Sounds like some really good eats for sure-I am baking pies this morning-making a pecan nut crust for the sweet potato pie and then I will make a walnut crust for the pumpkin pie next. Love all the good smells coming from the kitchen-Happy Wednesday

I'm doing a bit of cooking for Thanksgiving. Manicotti is a dish I haven't had it in decades since Mother used to make it for the day after Thanksgiving. I've never made it myself. It sounds like such a treat.

lol, this was unexpected, but as I use those tools I totally understand, just I can do it at will. :) I am glad you stopped where you liked it. If you want a tip, I always save a copy of the image in a stage I like when I see it. Then I can always go back and try more fun things. You should keep her "without eyes" it fits her.

Baking? Never in my live I have baked so many different bread in one day. Not even when I had my family around. You are amazing!

I gained five pounds just reading all this bread and manicotti you are making for your big meal tomorrow, Nicole. That contrast with no eyes is really different. I just hope Blogger will let the robot thingy post today.

Your food sounds good, but I think we've all just gained weight by drooling over it :)

All the best Jan

She does look a little on the macabre side with no eyes and a darker look...she's looking good though.

I find the IKEA desk lamps with the Cool/Daylight bulbs work well enough for taking photos of my art, even at night. Not as good as natural daylight but good enough. The bulbs are smallish and shaped like a candle-flame. I have one on each side of the art so each cancels out shadows.
