Hi Everyone!
Yesterday we got a nice break in the rain. I was able to go out in the yard and get a bit of sunshine. My spirit is much better. LOL
Yesterday I worked on a new painting. This is 20x16" acrylics and Brusho. If you don't know about Brusho, it is a pigment that is used mainly in watercolor but I use it with acrylics.
The affects are pretty amazing and so much fun to use.
After putting down some acrylic paint on the canvas. I used white, paynes gray, and yellow ochre, Then I sprinkle the Brusho in places I wanted. Now this is the only time I use water on acrylics, I give it a spray directly on the pigments. Then watch them explode. It is so cool.
I then take a wadded paper towel and make a few dabs.
Now just leave it alone and allow it to dry.
You will end up with a muted colorful background
Of course you can leave it as is or add some paint to it.
Be safe out there and wear a mask

I've also used brushoes with acrylic paints. They are amazing. Love your piece today. It almost looks like something you see on those space pointed teloscopes.
WOW! You are very talanted!

Lovely effect, I love using Brusho's, when I remember I have them.
I like those colours!
Gorgeous! I'd never heard of Brusho, and it's interesting to hear about using water with acrylics.
Beautiful painting, and I am glad you got some sunshine. our weather is changing here today cooler and rain coming in-we have been spoiled though with spring like temps all week Happy Friday Kathy
Beautiful work Nicole!
Beautiful piece, it's fun playing with brushos!
Beautiful art Nicole, I love Brushos!
Glad the weather perked up, and your mood is better. Have a good weekend.

How wonderful to get the surprise effect. You are so good at abstracts no matter how you create them!
Lovely colours,
Lovely effects.
All the best Jan
I've used Brusho but I've never tried it with acrylics. I shall have to put it on my to do list.
I've only seen photos of Brushos. Never seen any in Kansas. I don't think they have made it this far across country. You have a really unique and amazing beauty. At first, I saw what I thought was a caterpillar. It's a lovely rendition, dear.
Beautiful Work, I don't know anything like that with the Brushos ... looks great!
I am glad that you are doing so well and that the sun came out with you. Take care of yourself, hug Elke
I don't have any experience of acrylics and thought they were very bright, intense colours so seeing your muted result is quite enlightening :)
This has a really lovely watercolor look to it Nicole. I have never tried Brushos- or any of the powdered pigments available although it's tempting to try some;) Glad you got some sunshine! Happy PPF!
Fabulous !

Glad you feel better today! A little bit of sunshine usually helps. I love the background you created. So colorful, but muted enough to add some paint to it. Have a nice weekend, Nicole!
Another cool method/tool! Help, stop it! ;-)
I haven't heard of Brusho. Your paintings are lovely.
Very lovely and creative ^_^

I've never heard of Brusho before...cool effects!
Nice finish! :)
It's amazing how easy Brusho painting is. Drops of powder and water, magic!
Have a good week!
That is so cool! I love the colours! Big Hugs!
