AEDM day 18

Hi Everyone!

This is day 18 of AEDM.
I want these next 60 odd days to go by quickly
and they seem to be doing just that.
Yesterday, sighhh,  was stormy as normal.
Oregon, is shutdown for 2 to 4 weeks depending on what county
and I feel like the world is covered in red.
If you live in the US you know that we are in a massacre.
Covid, government and I feel like the world is covered in red.
Family members separated by belief, sick and then dead
and I feel like the world is covered in red.
No light, no joy, no coming of age and I feel like the world is covered in red.

Be Safe Out There

I completely understand. Even if my country is not as bad as yours. :(

Oh boy, the turmoil has worked its way into your painting. I hope it helped make you feel better. I count on my painting time transporting me away. “This too shall pass”!

Unusual for me, but I like it! 💗 And you're 💯 right, Nic... Days pass by fast anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Nicole,

Oh, that's too bad y'all are shut down out there. Is it because of COVID? I really hope this mess gets under control. Perhaps the vaccine will help but from what I understand healthcare workers will get the vaccinations first then it goes from there. I think I heard it wouldn't be until next spring before wide spread distribution is expected. Try to make the best of being in lock down. This can't go on forever! Hugs!!

...perhaps, but it's our job to search for the light.

It's gonna be a hard, hard winter. But I've put out the few Thanksgiving decorations I have and am planning the food. Just for the ones who live here. I'm hoping by _next_ Thanksgiving we'll be able to plan Christmas shopping in real stores. I miss that. Your red piece strikes a chord.

Your painting really expresses the current mood.

I realize this is a bit of doom and gloom post today, but I also feel the way you do. I worry that Trump is going to pull the nuclear plug before he leaves office and get us into a real war that we will have trouble getting out of. It's a lovely red abstract you painted today, Nicole.

Yes, covid is horrible right now. And red is such a color an angst. Nice way to work out some of that. Hang in there!

Love your little poem, Nicole. The US is indeed very torn apart right now and we can feel it all the way over here! I don't think anyone is escaping a certain amount of turmoil because of Covid, but we have vaccines! There is an end in sight, even if it's in the distance :-)
Bless you to find inner peace.

WOW...this is quite a powerful and poignant piece, Nicole. I hope it helped release the stress you must be feeling over Covid in the US. I worry for America. It doesn't look like the pandemic there is going to get better any time soon due to mismanagement at the highest level from the very beginning. :'(

The art piece is perfect.

Yes, we are in trouble here for sure.
