T stands for bones and water.

Hi Everyone!

This is T for Tuesday over at Bluebeard and Elizabeth's.
If you have never visited Altered Book Lover you are missing out on some of the most interesting blog posts. Come by check it out
and then visit the T gang to see what is going on with all of them.

For me I am going to share a small corner of my house. This is the entry or exit door. If you see curtains, yes I have curtains over my doors. I always have. Someone once told me it is very European to do that. I just like it.
I don't like to waste space. Wall space, corner space or floor space. The worst is the space behind doors. I have this book shelf that needed a place to live and it fits perfectly behind the door and doesn't get bumped when the door opens. The perfect place for my bones. When I lived in N. Idaho, I worked for a taxidermist as his assistant. It was so much fun and a different type of art.  I have always been attracted to bones even when I was a kid. Knowing how the bone structure of animals and humans work helps in drawing and painting. Little did I know it would be a huge help when I became a Vet Tech. Anyway, I have boxes of bones all cleaned and processed by me. Some I have on display with some of my skellie art. This is just one little section of my house with bones and skellie art.

That is a very small piece of my world.

I wanted a snack so for me hot water and cinnamon graham crackers.
I think this will get me into the T club today.

Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Your bone collection is fascinating, especially the ones that look as if they have connections with the Day of the Dead coming up soon.

I had a girlfriend once who liked to collect bones too. Little skulls of cats and other animals were all over the house. But your collection seems to be bigger and more varied!

Oh, I remember in the 70´s/80´s an Aunt really had such a curtain made of plastic strips. I always got stuck, LOL.
"Scary" just this morning I remembered we need to re-assemble our Henry-skeleton. The poor man just broke down! He was sitting on top of the wardrobe and guess, you wake up and he´s gone?! Be safe! And a happy T-day.

Looks like you have everything well organized and tidy, which I can't say about myself! Happy T Day, Valerie

Lovely bones! I also have a small collection of animal bones, I found on my walks and got from hunting friends. Sooo, T stands for.......are there any "instructions" or rules of what to post? I'd love to join, but couldn't find any. Thanks!

I am in awe of your shelf of bones. I save them, too and use them in my art. However, my art doesn't look as brilliant and clever as yours. I really LOVE the sugar skulls you created. They are amazing. It was fun seeing this area of your studio, Nicole.

I love graham crackers, too, but I need my coffee. My grandfather used to drink hot water for breakfast. He said it helped him get going in the morning. Thanks for sharing your incredible bones and skulls, as well as your hot water and crackers for T this Tuesday.

I’ve thought of how we carry our bones around for every second of our lives, but never actually see them. Weird thinking, I know, but that is the kind of thought I sometimes have. I like that you found something so perfect for that space, and your favorite is mine as well!

I also love cinnamon graham crackers!

fascinating collection of bones and such Nicole. I also have a lace curtain at my front door- and yes, it is very European. I made that curtain and others in my home using lace fabric I bought in France;) Happy T day!

I love the big-footed skeleton! I always liked cinnamon graham crackers, but it's been a while since I had any. I should add them to my grocery list :) Happy T Tuesday!

I love bones. I have a small collection myself. When I took drawing lessons years ago, some of us continued to meet and draw after the class ended. I drew lots of bones. My instructor was a little creeped out I think. But hey, I am a biologist and bones are important to so many living things. Love seeing your collection and the bigfoot too. Hope it was a happy T day.

I loved seeing this little corner of your home. I enjoy seeing bones, especially now that I am taking a class that emphasizes the bone structure in order to draw the face. How fun that you used to work for a taxidermist. An interesting and unusual job for sure.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Your bone art is so cool. I was once in a sculpting class with a forensic artist. We were carving faces from marble. So interesting to here the work she did on reconstructing faces of victims in cold cases. The curtains on the door sounds like a good idea to keep draughts out. Happy T Day

Your interest is bones is very interesting as is the curtain over the door. I didn't know it was an European thing. Your cupboard does look great where you have it. About hot water; lots of times when tea wasn't available, I have drank hot water. I am fine with it. Happy T Day!

I have always found bones interesting. Such a perfect time of year to share your collection with us. Halloween and all. Interesting to have curtains over doors, i don't think I have ever seen that done. Lovely day to you!

Thank you for sharing your love of bones. Very interesting.
Yes, here in Spain many people have curtains in front of the door. Mostly outside. But in colder countries they have the curtains inside to keep the cold out.
I don't know if you meant to share an image of your door and curtain, but it didn't appear in the post I'm seeing. Only the shelves with the bone display. (which is fascinating).
Hot water apparently is very healthy. I know quite a few people who do this. But I admit that I prefer a cup of tea.
Stay safe,
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca

Nicole,

I can't say that I'm fascinated with bones but I think it's interesting how bones are put together like they do with prehistoric animals. Well for that matter even human remains when they are trying to identify the John or Jane Doe. It's good you have a special place for all things. I think it's nice when you admire the things that bring you joy such as your collection. One day, I hope to have a permanent place to keep my Dept. 56 New England Christmas Village on display and even add to it. :) Thanks for joining CAAC's #WildWednesday, the linky party where just about anything goes! Today, I'm sharing another #RocktoberMusicFest song, a photo-art creation, and my responses to this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge, my friend! ;)
