TAD Night Scene

Hi Everyone!

Today is Thursday Art Date with Rain. This week her theme is "Night Scene." I thought ohhh this is a good one with so many different ways to go with it. However, as I was putting this together the things that kept coming up for me are the visions of night time places. So I decided to show some of the places that I have lived or visited. Then I have some "Night Scene" art that I have created in the past. So, let's get started.

Los Angeles, CA. I have always loved this view

Myrtle Beach, SC. Not only is the view spectacular it is a great place to party. I danced the night away here.

Bossier City, LA. I spent time over the bridge in Shreveport and this is the view. Ohh some of the best shopping EVER!!!

Seattle, WA. and surrounding area was home of some of my family. When the Space Needle first opened to the public for the worlds fair April 21 1962. I would be 10 years old on April 27 and my mom's birthday was April 24th. We celebrated with my Nan at the top of the Space Needle. It was spectacular!

Anchorage, AK. If you want a place for night life, well this is it. I have a long family history in AK. I lived in Anchorage in the 70's with my kids.

You can't show AK at night with out the AB. Photos just don't capture the AB. It takes on a life of its own and covers the sky with a ballet of color. All colors.

This is Look Out Pass north Id. Where I use to live. Lots of snow horrible drive. We are 5 minutes from home in this photo.

The ski resort just 6 miles from my home in N.ID This is the reason I will never live in snow country again. LOL

I love the night. I love being in the night.

Especially in the woods.

I beaded and decorated this on my Nicole's BeadBacking

I also beaded this on my Nicole's BeadBacking
This painting I did several years ago and now lives in Spokane, WA.

I really like painting on a black canvas.

This is an old piece of art. The rocks in front are egg shells. The texture is amazing.

This is one of my favorite macabre pieces.

My snowy night

Night River

Well I have more "Night Scene" paintings but I don't want to bore you. Please click on the pictures to see more detail. Thanks to Rain for always having interesting themes each week. Be sure to stop by to see what all the other TAD artist have presented.
I hope you enjoyed
and be safe out there.

Oh Nicole, you rocked this one. I had trouble with this one, but I have tons of photos of places I've been at night. Like you, I've been many places, but unlike you, I haven't lived in those places. Your drawings are incredible, too. I love the snowy night and the beaded wolf. Lovely examples, all, dear.

Beautiful work and photos, Nicole! My favorite is still the howling wolf in front of the full moon. I was thinking about doing something similar for this week's TAD, but went with the owl instead. Have a nice day, my friend!

Well, what can I say ... every photo, every painting every beaded piece is spectacular. Some of your paintings could pass as photos, they are so real. You have lived in many places and you have been a party girl ... who knew :) Your life has been anything but boring ... I think you are blessed :) Stay safe, Nicole and be well ...

The Ferris Wheel in your Myrtle Beach photo makes me want to relocate there within sight of it. What a view! Your woods at night images are especially appealing to me. There's just something about the woods at night....

wow, so many gorgeous photos and art. Gorgeous all of them but I have a few favorites. The Aurora of course, such a beautiful one. Then the Night River and the two black and white Woods. They look a little like what I painted on black paper. I might "steel" them and let them inspire me.
Thanks for sharing all beauty.
