Hi Everyone!
Uhhhggg a long day. We had to drive into Eugene for me to see my eye dr. This was to set up my last eye surgery. Hopefully, I will have sight in both eyes when this is finished. My surgery is Tuesday.
Wish me luck.

Wow! I really love how you finished your painting with those colourful balloons Nicole. Reminds me of when we went up in a balloon over the Fairy Mountains in Kapadocia. Magical!

Oh WOW, Nicole. Those hot air balloons look so realistic. They remind me of the ones I have seen at New Mexico and Arizona hot air balloon festivals. Good luck with your eye surgery, dear.

Beautiful painting.
I LOVE what you did to finish this painting! The mountains already had depth, but adding the balloons in different sizes really brought that out! I also like your layer of lighter mountains in the far distance and the way they add depth. Will be thinking of you on Tuesday, and I’m in awe of what you can do with your art and challenged sight in the meantime.

I hope the eye surgery restores your vision. I can imagine the frustration. DH had a detached retina so I definitely feel for you. That experience was a real eye-opener. Pardon the pun but it really was because we take for granted all too often what we have and the gift of vision or sound are two things that we'd all miss if we didn't have these sense. Saying prayers for the surgeries to be a success.
Your paintings are lovely. I especially like the one with the hot air balloons. We use to see hot air balloons in the sky in the fall but we haven't in years. That was always such a fun sight to look up on a beautiful fall day against a crisp blue sky to see big colorful balloons floating by!

IT was a fun journey with your WIP and now that I saw this finished piece I will say...WOWWW!!! Loved how it all turned out in the end. Wonderful.

What a gorgeous painting! Good luck with your eye surgery! Thank you for visiting my blog. Many of the local art shows have been cancelled. My group did a show in August with just 8 artists, all separated from each other and wearing masks. Customers were spread out as well. The show was quite successful so we are going to try it again at the end of September. I did not do the first show but am going to try the second.
