Saturday Garden Affair

Hi Everyone!

I was planning on showing some things in my garden today when I realized it is Garden Affair over at Jaipur Garden blog so this worked out perfectly.
We had winds of 30 mph yesterday and it is suppose to be more of the same today. So while the morning is just a breeze the plants are uncovered getting some morning sun. I have told all of you how tricky it is for me to have a garden here.  Some good points is that it is so wet in the morning that I don't have to do and AM watering.

this is the dew on my car

this is the dew on the plastic from my garden

Just when I think a plant is about done producing I get surprised.

There are 9 squash coming in on this plant.

and 6 on this plant.

Peppers are finally coming in and these are Lima beans.
They take a long time to grow but this plant is full.

I was going to "un plant" this cucumber plant because I though it was done. There are 3 more cucks coming in.
Also more potatoes. I have a feeling I will end up finishing the
growing of these inside when the time comes.
It already feels like fall here.

Last but certainly not least my tomatoes are finally turning red. Well some of them anyway. Next year tomatoes and peppers will go into a green house it is just too cold here to grow them outside.

These were supposed to be Roma tomatoes
but they are growing like cherries.
at this point I really don't care as long as they turn
and are good when I pick them. LOL

And yesterday's harvest.
Yes more squash, herbs, onions, string beans, and romaine lettuce.
I hope that if you are growing any type of garden that it is bountiful.

Be safe and have a good weekend.

You are SO lucky. My squash and beans are dead because they got too hot, even though I've watered them twice daily. The heat was too much for them. You are incredibly lucky to have rain nearly every day. I'm so glad you aren't discouraged by your garden. I'm ready to cry over mine, I fear.

I am so sorry about your garden. This is my first real garden and I have been very lucky in how it has grown. I have seen photos of your lovely yard and sad to know that it is too hot to grow there.

I've never ever grown vegetables but the ones you show here are wonderful and make me envious, though I'm a little too long in the tooth to start now. Thank you for visiting my blog each week with such lovely comments. Hazel x

Your garden is producing so well even through the end of the summertime! Nice! I don't have enough sun to grow veggies -and not really much space... I tried tomatoes and bell peppers in pots a few years, but it just didn't yield a harvest worth the effort. Congratulations on you success :)

A wonderful harvest! We picked our second cucumber, and the tomatoes are slowly turning. We also had a few late strawberries!
Happy new month,
