What are you doing today?

Hi Everyone!

I hope all of you had a nice 4th. We always have a quiet one because of the inconsiderate tourists that bombard our little town all summer and especially holidays. Even, with covid. Of course most if not all are NOT following any kind of safety. We would normally watch the fireworks from our back yard but this year they were cancelled.
So a nice dinner and a movie for us.
I am getting ready for another eye surgery. Making sure the house is clean and sanitized
( I am a clean freak) Preparing some quick meals for Mr. M. to pop in the microwave or heat in the oven for both of us. Although, I am sure I will not feel like eating after surgery. I know some of you are battling eye problems too. I never thought going blind in my right eye would be an issue for me as I get older. Well, it is. It's hard getting old. LOL
Today I start a compound made eye drops. 3 times a day for the next few weeks, then 2 times for a week then once a day until they are gone. Taking eye drops is the MOST difficult thing for me. However, I would rather do eye drops than go blind so I guess it's OK.
As for art, I have not been inclined to create for the last few days, but I did start a sketch this morning and I will work on that today.
Well that's about it for me. What are you doing today?

I have received some emails asking where I live. Here is a map
For my international readers this is on the Pacific Ocean between the states
of California and Washington. Florence is just shy of being in the middle
of the red line.

Make today the best day you can.

Honor and integrity in art, in life.

  1. Good luck with your upcoming surgery!

  2. Good luck with the surgery. My eyesight is getting a lot worse now I am older, I use eye drops but I get more down my face than in my eyes. I've been to a Florence but it was the one in Italy and not in the US.

  3. Nice to know where you are from. I haven't been that far south or north, well I've been Crescent City and Tillamook but not in between. Thanks for answering the question!

  4. Hey Nicole, same situation everywhere, probably... 🙄 Half of the people aren't following the rules, or, well... Precaution. Maybe things will change. 🤷‍♂️
