Lazy Sunday

Hi Everyone!
I hope all of you had a relaxing, creative weekend. My Saturday was busy but today I said the heck with it all and watched a movie. Ya know sitting in a chair and actually watched it. I finished this painting, and talked to my kids and grand kids. My Son's birthday was yesterday, I can't believe he is 51. OMG! It's crazy when your kids are middle aged. I said something to him that was a "mom" thing. He laughed and said, "Mom, I'm a big boy I can handle it." Your kids are always our babies no matter how old they are.
So here is the painting I am working. I wrote that it is finished but I don't think it is and there are a few things to fix up. Maybe a fiery wash over the greenery.
Enjoy your evening.

Glad you had a nice weekend. I know that feeling, my daughter is 54, where did the time go? Have a good, new month, hugs, Valerie

Nicole this is a beautiful scene with it's subtle greens and firey red highlighting the way down that winding path. I too have many pictures that share the question is it finished yet? Just go with the moment and enjoy, it looks like harmony to me!!
Wishing your Son a belated birthday, no matter the age they are always our babies.
Wishing you sunshine & creativity and a very Happy JUNE.. take care Tracey xx

Got you all beat, my oldest is going on 57. Nor was I a child bride at one day over 20. Now that I think about it perhaps I was! I know I felt a LOT younger then. Love your other-worldly painting, Nicole. It’s so lively and colorful, looks like it could be a backdrop for “Stranger Things”!

How incredible that you actually took a day off. So glad you had a chance to speak to your son on his birthday.

I LOVE that painting, Nicole. Of course, you are your own worst critic, but I think it's gorgeous.

Lovely painting Nicole. I had a lazy day today seeing that the weather was nice, sitting out mainly reading with a bit of sewing. I probably should have done some gardening but the earth is so hard and dry. I'd better make the most of it tomorrow too as its set to change on Wednesday.
