Well in few minutes Mr. M. and I are off to the grocery store. uhhhhggg. The first hour of opening is for seniors. Hmmmm does the store know that 90% of my town is retired seniors? LOL Yesterday, I baked. My house smelled so good and the goodies turned out sooo yummy. I make my bread by hand not with a machine. This went with our Italian dinner. Then, lemon cookies for desert. Wishing everyone a good day filled with a bit of laughter, art, and love.
I make this with half white and whole wheat flour.
Just out of the oven. I make them extra lemony.

90% of your town are retired seniors? Wow, girl. You must be one of the most attractive girls out there! Even though that bread looks amazing, I'm full right now. Still, those cookies... Bet they're tasty!
I’m feeling a bit down today, as we all probably do right now from time to time. But your post reminds me that baking with my hands, filling my senses with wonderful aromas baking, seeing the lovely results, and best of all tasting the delicious fruits of my labors will chase the blues faster than anything. Thank you, Nicole, beautiful!
Both the bread and the cookies look so good! I'm going out grocery shopping this morning too. "Once more unto the breach, dear friends . . . ."
Love the look of the bread and cookies, I want a lemon cookie! Take care at the stores. No senior hours at the stores here. Have a good week, stay safe!
Looks yummy. Good luck with your shopping.
where do you live? I will come to taste your cookies :D
Super yummie!!! I can almost smell it !!
Stay safe!

Looks delicious Nicole! We've just had a bit of the fruit crumble I made yesterday. As I'm sugar and flour free, the topping was oats, margarine and banana. Yummy! I also made some date, walnut and coconut balls.
Hope the shopping wasn't too traumatic.
Elbow hugs 😊

Alison I was flour and sugar free until a few months ago. Not sure what happened to me. LOL I hadn't eaten flour or sugar in 4 years.
I had to laugh at your saying the bread was made by hand. My friend Sally has FOUR, yes, four bread machines and I have never seen her make bread since I've known her. I don't own a single machine, but I can't knead dough due to my arthritis type birth defect. Yours looks wonderful. I miss bread because it's a staple that one can't really keep for long. I hate eating it after it's been frozen. I'll have a cookie, though (grin).
Your baked goods look delicious.
Week 4 of shelter in place, they may have senior hours but I am not planned on shopping at 7:00 am.
Hugs Diane
