TAD & PPF

Hi Everyone!
I have been a bit MIA. I am staying off the PC as much as I can due to my eye. I am sure you are all sick of hearing about it. So I apologize  a head of time.  LOL It is a scary thing to lose one's sight it takes everything else off balance. I have not been able to create even a drawing but yesterday decided to create something no matter what. I pulled some  watercolors out and just dabbed into paint and made strokes. No thinking, no plan, just put brush to paper this is what came of it. Don't have a clue what it represents. LOL

This second piece I did have something in mind, thus the earlier apology. This is my vision from my right eye. All of the scratches are constantly moving within the black. I am taking a photo of this to my new eye doctor tomorrow. This is a dr to get some sort of glasses, the other two I have been seeing are specialist and don't do glasses.

Over at Rain's Thursday Art Date the prompt is Wisdom of the Ages.
Since I have drawn faces over the last few years I thought I would find some that, for me look like they have some wisdom.
This guy was a fisherman who spent years on the open sea.
He just looks like he knows secrete or two.

When I found this man his hair and beard were snow white, I didn't know how to draw white hair, I still don't. LOL  His eyes also say, "My years have taught me much."

This girl tells me she is contemplating and with that will find answers to share.

And these two youngsters have the wisdom of love

Come by to see what everyone is creating and maybe you will join in.

Sorry your eyesight has gotten worse. I DO love your abstract paintings, though. Being able to draw what you see out of your eye is a genuine bonus. Your other art is so poignant. It shows the depth of human spirit, human nature, and how much one has lived. You know exactly how to capture faces and expressions, dear Nicole.

What wonderful wonderful pictures you painted on the rain theme! The facial expressions are fascinating!
If you can see better with glasses it would be good or!
Greetings Elke

I know it's not the same thing but Terry has sight in only one eye for almost a year until he finally was able to have a cataract removed. I am keeping you in my thoughts hoping for a solution to your sight condition.

Nicole,

I can only imagine your frustration. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. Perhaps corrective eye wear will help some. I'll say a prayer and keep my fingers crossed. Your people sketches are incredible. If only I could draw people as well as you. :)

Lovely abstract artwork. Your portraits always amaze me. I do hope that the doctors find a solution and soon. Until then keep on painting the way you are.

I can relate to you, not my eyes, but my hands don’t work anymore. Especially my dominant hand that had surgery and developed complications. That was 3 years ago, and I try to create regardless, I can’t help it. Your faces are amazing, but I assume they were done prior to your eye issues, so I’m focused on your random painting. It is the kind of art I try to do, nothing detailed, just slapping paint with palette knives mostly, wherever it wants to go. I usually see a recognizable image eventually, and my imagination is reminded of a beehive in yours. However, it mostly speaks to my appreciation of abstract color and random flow. We must keep painting, it’s good for the soul!

ouch, is that what you se with your right eye. That is not good. To me it seems impossible to be corrected to normal vision. But I hope it will so you can still do your beautiful art. Be well!!

Hi Nicole :)) Firstly, nobody is sick of hearing about your eye problems! We want to support you and it's wonderful that you are sharing it with us. We all hope the best for you! xx Having said that! I'm thrilled and impressed that you took out your paints and pencils to draw no matter what!! My first impression of that first painting, honestly, is hair and eyes. Subliminal? :) The second drawing is sad, but beautiful. Sad because that's what you are seeing. Beautiful in it's texture and design. I love that you shared the portraits, each one has its own wisdom. Thanks so much for joining in!

Thank you Rain, I have so much support from my blogging friends and it means so much to me. Every good thought, healing energy and prayers said for me is part of getting this healed. I will not give up as long as I can see even out of one eye. LOL
