Art today and PPF

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I had a wonderful visit from a friend I haven't seen in a while. We had tea, and caught up on things that are going on in our lives. Next week we are meeting up to share a day.
I think it is important to interact with people. Especially for us older gals. LOL  I know so many who just sit at home and become isolated. If you know someone like that reach out to them. There is nothing like a conversation face to face.
Here is my drawing for today,
yes a face. I am actually getting in the art
room to finish a painting.

It's a wonderful drawing but she looks a bit sad. I know what you are saying. I am retiring in June and am trying to formulate a plan in my head so I don't just sit home by myself all the time. I would do that because I do enjoy my own company, but I know it is not the best. Hugs-Erika

Very nice sketch. I like the expression. And yes, it's good to be in touch with your old friends. I'm still in touch with my school/college friends {20-26 years of friendship} though we haven't met in a long long time.

I agree with Erika. She looks either sad or contemplative. Regardless, this is one incredibly well composed face. It's amazing.

Glad you had a good time with your friend and a nice conversation over tea.

Wonderful words Nicole and a wise message to reach out to those around us. I just finished an advert for a company who raises awareness of this issue, it's good to keep in contact with friends and neighbours, even a wave of a hand can brighten someones day. Just scrolled and saw all you wonderful shared art this week.. That makes me very HAPPY. Sending creative Hugs your way & Happy PPF Tracey xx

Lovely, wistful drawing Nicole. Yes, there should be a balance between time spent alone and time socializing and interacting with people. Happy PPF!

Hi Nicole :) Your face portrait looks sad! You know, I used to have lots of friends, but maybe I'm in the minority here, I was more lonely around people than I ever was alone! These days I enjoy my solitude with my hubby. Neither of us have friends and we're okay with that. We have each other's company and that's very comfy! :) Plus I talk to the dogs lol! ;)

Love your sketch.
I do agree it is so easy to get more isolated the older we become, it is important to stay in touch with those both near and farther away.

All the best Jan
