Hi Everyone!
The last 3 days have been filled with appts so I have not been home much. That puts my art time on the back burner. So this AM I did the 20 minute warm up for AEDM day 14. OK, OK I just couldn't get her eyes right so she is getting ready for a masquerade. LOL The joy of art, you can make your piece go in any direction.
I forgot today is Thursday. Geeessss.
In addition to AEDM, I am joining in with Rain's Garden Thursday Art Date. The prompt is Forest and Critters. Since I have been so busy this week I am showing an older piece.
It is my Bamboo Forest with white crane.
And for Paint Party Friday here is what I created all week.
Have a great weekend!

Nicole,
ReplyDeleteEyes...anything to do with the human anatomy is difficult. You did a good job. I love how she's looking over her shoulder. :)
I love that domino mask!
ReplyDeleteGoodness Nicole. Even when you SAY you didn't get the eyes right, you did a wonderful job. I'm super impressed. I think she looks good with a mask. It really sets her face apart, too.
ReplyDeleteThe colored mask really pops off that gorgeous face sketch. Smart. And I also really like the Asian design. Adding the bird really give it something for your eye to focus on. Happy weekend to you also. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole :) Your lovely masquerade lady is great! I love how colourful her mask is. And you do a really nice bamboo tree too! Your paintings and drawings are wonderful, I really like the yellow toned piece a lot! Thanks for joining in this week! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun art this week Nicole. Happy PPF, Valerie

Amazing masquerade face.
ReplyDeleteLove the bamboo forest.
Happy PPF 💗
I love all your pieces, but especially the colors in your masquerade portrait! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteWow, Nicole! Your faces are amazing...I'd missed the one with a black eye and bruised face - it's wonderful. I would love to be able to draw like you...but I just wouldn't put in the practice time... seeing the week's posts just highlights your versatility.

Wonderful pieces!!
ReplyDeleteYou always have such wonderful variety a week's work! Beautiful! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteLots of great art there!! Cute idea to "mask" you eye issue, lol. Everytime my grandson asks us to move out the the west coast near him, I think of you and the doc issues you have shared in the past few years. It's the biggest issue we have to stay here. Any doc we need is within 10 miles. I think the fact that we are a multi college town is a big reason why.

So nice to see so many beautiful pieces today Nicole, I've had to mask an eye or two in my time they can be tricky things to draw at times. I do love your bamboo forest canvas the green bamboo looks striking against the red.
ReplyDeleteCreative wishes Tracey xx
Great pieces - clever with the masquerade mask! I really love the abstracts for PPF.
