Beady treat for PPF

Hi Everyone!

First I want to apologize for not being able to comment this last week.  Way too much going on in my life. Some bad some good.  As you know I have (had) my leather sculpture showing at our library.  Last weekend some idiot, in his 40's came by and threw bolders into 8 windows breaking them through into the library. Glass everywhere. The cops were there in 3 minutes and this guy is now in Lane Co jail. He had planned this well and wanted to get caught. About 6 months ago this same guy had a restraining order against him coming to the library. Anyway I had to take down part of my display.  No glass in my art thank goodness.  Good news is I have been busy with art and artists in my town. I also have an opportunity to sell my art for something special. Not giving too much detail right now. Just send good vibes that it all works out for me. I will know with in the next 30 days. My bead meeting is tonight also and I have some new fun things going on there.
With all my busy days I have only made one new thing. So I am going to show some old too. I promise to get to all of your blogs this weekend.
Linking up with Paint Party Friday

My new piece
Here is some beady fun
This is a VERY short vidi.

All of these paintings are from 2014
The forefront of this is egg shells

I painted these for my daughter

I always loved the brightness of this one.

This is one of my faves too.

Honor and integrity in art, in life.

  1. Whoa, that’s nuts...what could anyone possibly have against a library! Glad your work was ok! Happy PPF!

  2. I'm glad your art wasn't harmed in the vandalism attack!

  3. Hi Nicole - wow! I loved your video - that's such a clever beady creative.
I love all the art you've shown too, the eggshells in the foreground look lovely - how clever :D)
I really sympathise with you and your fellow artists and librarians - such an idiot of a person. Yay for the Police and their quick attendance. Glad the damage wasn't too great (on your art... a shocker for the windows).
Definitely sending good vibes and hope you hear your great news soon.
All the best, Happy PPF xx

  4. I LOVE the caleidocycle. Such fun! I just pulled out my beads to make the seahorse earrings from the FB seedbead group. The heron painting speaks to me. Such vibrant colors. Happy PPF!

  5. Wonderful art, Nicole. So different and original.
Happy PPF and good luck for upcoming week.

  6. So glad your work wasn't damaged! How scary. Love seeing your work! THank you for the inspiration!

  7. Why in the world would a library be a target??? Love seeing your collection from the year. Your bright sunshiney one is spectacular. Will be thinking positive for you this next week. Happy PPF and keep us posted.

  8. What a crazy act of vandalism:( So glad the culprit was caught and incarcerated! Fab art projects, and my fave is the last one. Good luck with everything and happy PPF!

  9. Awful to hear about what happened at the Library, glad he is has been caught and paying for his crime. Really glad to hear some positive news, i'm sending good vibes your way wishing you all the best and keeping everything crossed that those sales fall into place, you so deserve it.
Your beading is amazing, I love that little twiddly thing, i'd be fiddling with it all day it looks so tactile and very therapeutic. Thank you for sharing sweetie.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend & Take good care of yourself.
    Hugs Tracey xx
    P.S Happy PPF x

  10. the guy must have something against books :/

  11. just wonderful work, and aren't there crazy people in the world

  12. OMG that cube is fantastic. Hope you have a 'more good week' upcoming

    much love...

  13. It's interesting how that green on red looks so...yummy! Amazing contrast..that really hit my eye.
It's a pity there are people who think they have the right to destroy another's property...They should get therapy, talk out all the bad they have hidden inside...
    Have a good ahead!
