Hi Everyone!

I am just amazed that it is September already. Life just seems to zip on by these days. I want to thank everyone for the very nice comments and well wishes for my health. I have done a lot of research, talked to many people and I believe I have a good regime going. Time will tell.  

A bit thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday and to all of the artist who join in. I look forward to seeing what you are showing this week. For me, I am hooked on painting glass cabs. They are selling nicely too.  Here are the latest cabs. All hand painted by me.

PPF and UPDATES

Hi Everyone!

What a month. OH,  heck I was hoping this month was over already. LOL  Thank you for all the comments and emails about osteoporosis.  So after extensive research (that still continues) I have chosen NOT to take any of the medical treatments. OMG!!! the side effects are horrible. I have spoken to many men and women who have take the bisphonates and every one of them said they wished they hadn't. With lupus I can not afford to upset my system. Even without lupus I would not take these meds. I have already started on a bone building vitamin and exercise regime in addition to my lupus regime. Now, I exercise everyday, however, osteoporosis exercises are quite different from the intense boxing, kicking, hip hop dancing that I do now. I found an excellent web site out of Canada that specializes in osteoporosis. In addition to that I have found a new health care provider that is a real MD and female. I do have to drive 80 miles one way to see her but I believe it is worth it.  I have learned a lot about this disease and am confident that I can beat this too.  OK enough of that crap. LOL   This is Paint Party Friday and I have been absent, but I am back and I have art.YAY!!

First a huge thank you to Eva and Kristen for always hosting the best party. I look forward to seeing what all of you have been up to.  Now for the art. I have been beading, and making cabochons. As most of you know I was a bead artist before lupus finally made it impossible to bead. The last several months my hands seem to be better, well they are not shaking any more, so I have beaded a few pieces.  Gees am I a jabber-er tonight? LOL Sorry for the long post.

Many layers to create heighth

This is a piece I finished the other day. I also created the cabochon. Paint on glass working from the back side so you paint backwards. Best way I can describe it. LOL

I had such a great response on the sparkle cabs that I made a few dozen.

These are black resin cabs that I painted. The are spaaaaakkkkklllllyyyyyy and smooth to the touch.

LET ME KNOW PLEASE

Hi Everyone!

I have been busy with home things and doctor things for DH. AANNNDDD on top of everything else the gods are throwing at me, I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis. WTH? I have done a lot of research and find that the treatment for this is NOT conducive to my body or my life.  I would have to take the injection of Boniva. Is anyone out there on this or another Bisphosphonate?

The side effects are very devastating. I can not afford to have even one of them. So I would like to hear from you and how it is effecting you. I have read forums and the responses are not good. I can't find a "positive" forum on these medications.  I have made my own bone building cocktail and I will request another bone scan in 6 months.  I would love to hear from you or even if you know someone on these meds.

IT'S PAINT PARTY FRIDAY TIME

Boy life has taken me by the shoulders and just won't let go. Yikes!!! With that I don't have any new art, rather I am going to show some of my favorite drawings that I have done for my Art Every Day. I hit the 200 mark. I will start again when the gods that be turn their sights somewhere else. HAPPY PAINT PARTY FRIDAY!!!!

Things are calming down here. Well not really but I feel like it right now. Due to everything here I had to end my Art Everyday at #200. I feel pretty proud with all that is on my plate I accomplished 200 days.  So here is number 200 and a WIP of beading I am doing.  I look forward to seeing all you and the art you have created. The heat is on. I am so happy to have hot sun here on the Oregon coast with very little wind. It is like a real summer. 🌞  My busy is calming down now that Beadwright.com is almost finished.
