BLUEBERRY HILL

Hi Everyone!

Last Thursday DH and I took a drive inland to the town of Scottsburg, OR. to the Estill blueberry farm. It was a perfect day. Not much traffic on the road, the sun was shinning, and the farm was full of berries. We picked 4 buckets, about 20 lbs. The biggest, juiciest, sweetest blueberries ever.
If you are in the area be sure to stop by Estill Blueberry in Scottsburg OR.

This is just part of the farm. Oh it is organic too.

Very nice and friendly Estill family

When my daughter was little we used to pick strawberries and blueberries every year. We ate the strawberries and I never did freeze them but I did make jam. However, I froze blueberries like crazy and loved to bake with them in the winter. My husband mentions every now and then about the time they went out to blow snow during a blizzard and came in to find baked blueberry cheesecake. I have the Pillsbury Cheesecake recipe book and have baked every recipe in it. Everyone looks forward to my cheesecake gifts.
xx, Carol
