PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 6/30

Hi Everyone!

Boy what a week. 4 doctors appointments for DH, two all the way to Salem, OR. 300 miles round trip. Today was one of those Salem appointments. Can I say whipped? LOL A few more procedures and we are hoping for a pain free life. Even with this busy traveling week I have kept up on my Art Everyday even though I have not kept up on taking photos of everything.  So with a big thanks to 

Eva and Kristen for hosting PPF here is what I have this week. Hope you enjoy.

Art EveryDay

Hi Everyone!

I have been busy with.... well life. LOL  Three doctor's appointments this week for DH. So I am getting back into 10 minute sketches. This keeps on top of my Art Everyday. I am also doing more beading and that takes WAYYYY more time that drawing or painting. I do love making new patterns though. This latest has beaded up very nicely.  Also two 10 minute sketches. This brings me to 177 of finished art in as many days.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 6/23

Hi Everyone!

We finally have what we call summer here. Anyway for the last few days. So every morning DH and I have been walking. Then home to take care of the day. I still don't have all my Art Everyday Photos taken but here are a few I took today.  A big thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday. Looking forward to seeing what all of you have created.

THIS WAS A BEACH DAY

Hi Everyone!

Just before DH first back procedure we decided to go to the beach. Now we don't go very often because it is so cold on our beaches. Not a bathing suit and flip flop type of place. More like bundle up and hold on. The Pacific Northwest is cold. So we headed up over the dunes and took some photos. The day was sunny so that was a plus. The tide was out too so we go pretty close to the Sea Lions. I know I complain a lot about the weather here, with that aside it is pretty here.

Hi Everyone!

I am so behind in taking photos of my Art Everyday. The sun has been out and since we don't get much of it I am out of doors as much as possible when it's here. 😀 Yes vitamin D is taken in pill form here. LOL  I tried to take photos last night and well only two turned out. I am trying to improve my drawing with hands. Hands are as interesting as faces. 

So Here are two that I got half way decent photos of.

These are actually my hands. I had a real difficult time with this so don't judge me to harshly.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 6/16

Hi Everyone!

Well this time I have had offline and taking care of DH with his back procedures has been a good time for me. It would have been better if we could have gone to AZ.... sighhh.... but at least I have been able to do some things I really love. As most of you know I was a very successful bead artist for most of my life.  lupus made it so difficult that several years ago I had to stop beading. That doesn't  mean I have lost my love for it. I still am very active in the beading world. The last month or so my hands have calmed down a lot. They haven't been shaking at all and I have a bit more strength in them. Still no feeling in my hands but I have been able to to a bit of beading. I am thrilled with this. Now it is not the massive advanced pieces I use to do but at least I can bead a bit right now.  I have also kept up with my art every day but will show all of those later this week. I am at 166 pieces of art in 166 days. I am counting the bead patterns I am showing today. It's all art. 

I look forward to catching up with all of you.

Loom Bead Pattern

This is another one of my Crow patterns in Loom Beading

Even though I do not smoke medical marijuana I am an advocate of it and have many pieces of beaded jewelry and lighter covers with pot leaves. This is my newest addition.

I also love predator birds. The Eagle is one of my favorites. I do have this tested

The last one is of course you guessed it another skull. How can I not with my hands being so good.

This one I am testing right now and it's almost finished.

I had to use different colored beads from the pattern. Pattern beads are ordered. I just had to bead it!

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY JUNE 2

Hi Everyone!

Can you believe it is June? Half the year is gone. I didn't make any goals or resolutions this year, I felt a turmoil in my spirit and I was right. So I just take each day as it comes and hope for the best. Life is a strange, wonderful, adventure that takes us places we may never have thought of.   

Not so much physical places but those deep recesses of our mind and spirit. A place of growth and knowledge. A place where age gives you some sort of immeasurable confidence to accomplish. I have said many times, "There is nothing good about getting old" I was wrong. I was looking at it from veiled eyes. I "see" things differently now and I look forward to the future, wherever that may take me.

Now for art.

 I used a very shinny liquid acrylic blue to top this. Can't really see how metallic it really is.
