Hi Everyone!
I have been out of town, thus the lack of posts. I have kept up with my Art Everyday and I will post them for Paint Party Friday. In the mean time, while we were in Salem, Oregon for.... what else a new doctor, we did go to the Haillie Ford Art Museum. We hit it just right too because Tuesdays are free admission. You are allowed to take photos but not with a flash, so some of the photos are dark. If you ever go there parking is not great and it is all paid parking. The museum is beautiful and the exhibits are fabulous. Here is the problem there and the entire state of Oregon. The mold factor is horrible here. So as we entered the down stairs exhibits the mold hit us. We hurried through and then went upstairs. I wanted to spend time in the Native exhibits but again the mold was pretty aweful so we hurried through. Had I known about the mold I would have worn a mask. With that said the exhibits were very nice. Here are a few of the photos I got.
Native baskets were from different tribes.
The bags were fiber but didn't say what type.
Below there were only two seed beaded pieces, which surprised me
This is Walrus ivory
This is a modern Native Painting.

That looks like an interesting place to visit. Great photos of the exhibits. Has made me think it's been quite a while since I've visited our local museum. I must get a visit there soon.
Looks great, but I don't like the sound of mold, that's dangerous. Hugs, Valerie
What an interesting exhibition!
What a beautiful exhibition! I'm sorry about the mold. I hope your doctor hunt went well.
