PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 75 OF 75

Hi Everyone!

Ohhhh partial sunshine today. Thank the gods. We drove to Eugene, OR. to get out of the house and to get even more sun over there. We did the mundane things like go to Winco, ( a grocery outlet store that is very inexpensive and a very nice store) went to the mall to Penney's and Macy's to see if they had any blankets. OMG!!! Both stores carry the same crap blankets at exorbitant prices. Then across town to Bed Bath and Beyond. They also carry the exact two types of blankets that I don't like. I told DH maybe I should start a blanket factory and call it Bad Ass Blankets. LOL Hit the herb store and then the 2 hour drive home. I am whipped. Again I have been so busy this week and S-A-D that I have not yet played with the new molding product. I am doing that this weekend! It is suppose to start raining again tomorrow. uuhhggg..... So for this week my finished pieces are drawings. I have a beaded piece almost finished and will show that next week.
So I hope you enjoy my drawings and for those of you who have been with me awhile can see my improvement. A big thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday
and to all the artists who share their art and inspire me to be better.

That is hilarious (and disappointing) about the blankets! Being a transplant to the US I sometimes find that there is more choice here, but more often than not I find the same crappy brands in every store! With a population this big, how are there not more good suppliers of things?! Lovely work this week. Happy PPF!

Your faces are absolutely amazing! It has be incredible to watch your phenomenal progress! You deserve the most improved award in so little time! You are such a great talent! It's seriously been so inspiring to observe! You go girl! We love fuzzy soft blankets in our life! Do you have a costco?...try online too. Possibly amazon! All the best on finding blankets. We have an excess because it can be hard to find good ones!

wow, those hands are becoming so good Nicole! Especially number 5, I find that a very hard position to draw. Very well done!

Beautiful portraits!

Improvement is an understatement ... and the hands, you can really do the hands. They are my downfall. I really can't make a hand look like a hand in any position, not sure why. But, you, my dear, are amazing. So, I am curious, what kind of blanket is it that you like so well?

Your drawings keep getting better and better! Maybe you can find someone who makes handmade blankets?

Love the faces you draw, Nicole. All are so beautifully done. My favorite is the one of the girl with her hand (wonderfully drawn!) over part of her face.

You never cease to amaze me with your gorgeous portraits. I think my favorite this week is the pensive woman with the hand over her face. Blessings, my friend!

Beautiful drawing. Sounds like you've been busy. I hate it when things seem to creep up and waste valuable time.

These are really wonderful little art pieces. I really like the young woman looking over her shoulder at the viewer. I hop you get some sun so you won't feel SAD!

I love them all but especially the ones that have hands to show expression. Hand gestures always make a sketch amazing to me.

Another lovely batch of drawings, Nicole. I especially like the one with her eyes shut and her arm up. She conveys such a lot of emotion.
And I'd buy a Bad Ass Blanket ;)

The drawings are lovely. Great work. Lot of the products sold in the stores are all identically and identifiably bad. Depressing :(
