Hi Everyone!
I am getting back in the swing of things after my trip back east. I guess it is just one more thing to put on the "I am getting older" list. Ya know recouping after vacation. 😁 It is exhausting. Anyway today I would like to introduce you to a truly wonderful lady and her incredible bead art. Lynette puts life into each piece she creates.
So in her own words.
When I was about 6 years old my mother taught me crewel embroidery and to crochet. This is what we did in the evening during the winters because it was too cold to be outside.
Fast
forward 40 years....I received my first official lesson in jewellery
making from my dear friend, Lisbeth Marin, in North Carolina. That was
it. I was off and running.
Via
other workshops and friends with bead shops, I began to see that I could
apply what I had learned as a little girl. A whole new world had opened
up for me where I could do as I pleased.
I
enjoy wire working and wire wrapping, however, my true love is beaded
embroidery. Sometimes I simply embroider directly onto Nicole's BeadBacking, and
sometimes I incorporate shibori silk ribbon and soutache.
In real life, I am a horticulturalist. But it is the love of plants and nature that helps me create my jewelry designs.
You
can peruse my Facebook page. ..Lynette Ambruch Jewelry ...or you can
always contact me directly for questions about a piece in which you are
interested.
I do offer
workshops and individual lessons. I am a regular instructor for Women in
the Wilds, which is one of the largest events of its kind on the east
coast.
