Hi Everyone!
I know this is very early posting for Paint Party Friday however, if I don't do it now I will not have time later. The next two days are busy busy busy. I was able to spend some time in the art room this week working on a new painting that I will show next time. I am also working on leather boxes. I ordered some single shoulders that were on sale and are beautifully tanned. For now though Here are two drawings that I was able to create.
The first is named "Intense"
This second one is "Dejection"
I have drawn this woman in the past. The life she shows on her face haunts me.
It is dark and stormy here and I can't get a good photo of this drawing.
A huge thanks to Kristen I and Eva for hosting Paint Party Friday, and to all the incredible artists who join in.

Ooh, so much expression on both faces!
Wonderful art, happy PPF, Valerie
Nice work on these drawings Nicole!
The woman in 'Dejection' has suffered a lot in her life - it shows brilliantly in your drawing!
Grey and rainy here too, our pure white snow almost melted...
They are great! Happy PPF
You've really captured the emotions in these faces. There is such a lot of 'past' showing on that second lady's face.
Impressive faces.
Happy PPF ❤
I like the haunting eyes you captured in both of these portraits. Hope you have a peaceful and joyful Thanksgiving day with your loved ones. Blessings!
your portraits are so beautifully done and you really capture the raw emotions so well. Happy PPF!

I am loving your portraits so much!
Your faces have such great expressions! Hope you'll get some time and brighter days for creating again soon!
Oh wow - she has such a life etched on her face. You really caught that. Lois
These are beautiful faces and how your mind has captured the vision of these emotions is amazing to me. Looking forward to your painting next week :)

I love that you are drawing strong emotions on your face portraiture.
Nicole, I admire your ability to capture moods and emotions on your drawings. Intense and Dejection are both really good.
Both faces tell a story...you have captured their essence.
Beautifully done!!
Really bold faces!!! Drawing faces scare me and you do it so well!!
like the expression on the second one happy ppf
your faces are improving all the time :)
Excellent expressions . . .I know the second one in all her pain. Blessings, Janet
Ooh, I can see why the 2nd face haunts you. Both portraits are very impressive and expressive, intense. Beautiful work.
You have created so much expression in those two sketches. Excellent. They tell a story on their own.
I agree with Claudia. And life is hard many times.
Love the first one ~ the second is good too ~ both you captured amazing expression ~ thanks.
Wishing you a gentle weekend ~ ^_^
Great detail in each one with so much emotion showing through each one ♡♡♡♡
The drawings are wonderful! There is great power in both of them, I especially like the eyes of "Intensity"
Two amazing drawings Nicole! Love the emotions in them! Make sure to show your new painting and the leather boxes! Big Hugs!
(We are getting a snow storm right now!)
If you were early I'm late, as always :)
You can really draw ages - first one looks young and the second not so young but a lot of rough life behind....
Have a creative week!
Nicole, both of these drawings are great! The title for the 1st one is perfect. Intense. Yes. And the 2nd drawing is a bit haunting to me as well... beautiful work. I love that you dabble in everything - you're never boxed in to just one medium. Wishing you a wonderful week! xx
They're both such beautiful drawings. The emotions are so there, especially on the second one. Wonderful art! :)
Wow! Your portraits have so much personality! Happy PPF!
I know you have been doing the 29 faces challenge. and it really shows Nicole! These are very expressive faces. They are in contrast to your usually colorful art. But i love them.Have a nice weekend.
The titles fit very well -- great capture of expressions!
I remember that 'haunting woman'...
learning, learning - you're right. I try to learn proportions of face...I know the rules but it's difficult to follow the rules on the paper :) but I know I learn by doing. We all do :)
