PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 4/8

Hi Everyone!

This has just been a crazy busy week. On top of everything else I do, Monday doctor apt, renew DL. Tuesday Doctor apt. Wednesday Doctor apt. This one was in Eugene, about 80 miles to the dermatologist. Yep a biopsy on this weird growth on the side of my neck. Yayyyy. (sarcastic yayyy) the doc just called. She told me it is a sarcoma but not the bad kind. OOOKAYYYY.... smile. I have to go back in to have  a larger margin around the area removed.  Like I have said before, this getting old is NOT for sissies.
So, today I worked out, cleaned carpets, and created. I have 4 textured sculpts that I started last weekend. These take time because of sculpting and drying time so I work on several at a time. This one is complete. I hope you can see the brightness and the shine to it. I did this one on a 10x8" flat canvas. I had to staple it down to a work board as the cement dried so it wouldn't bend the canvas. It worked out perfectly.  Here is,
Photo taken in tungsten light so it is more yellow that in reality.

 "Sun Burst"
10x8" flat canvas, secrete cement mixture, acrylic paints and varnish.

I am pleased with the depth of Sun Burst

It is beautiful even under the artificial light. I can imagine how fabulous it will be in natural light.

Hi Nicole. Glad the growth was benign. Yes I know the feeling on aging. Boo Hiss is what I say. Julia Child used to say that a lot....boo hiss. :DD I love your sunburst, it is totally awesome. In fact I love it! Glad you are keeping busy.

That is really spectacular Nicole!!!! Bummer about the growth... when they say they have to remove a larger margin...be prepared . They take a massive amount of area . I wasn't prepared at all. Good luck and take care of yourself. ♥ Sending healing thoughts your way ♥
