PAINT PARTY FRIDAY MRI

Hi Everyone!

I have been taking it easy on the PC allowing my eye to heal. It is soooo much better. I saw the eye doc yesterday. The MRI revealed no abnormalities to my eyes so that is a good thing. However, no reason at all for a spontaneous eyelid bleed. I am so unique Right? LOL
The growths on my brain, which I have had or were discovered in 2000 have grown a bit. This is part of the lupus and is called lupus cerebritis. Yes it is as bad as it sounds with all kinds of neurological problems, especially with balance, (Ha I fall ALL the time) There are some other things that are possible but I refuse those.  Also some microvascular ischemic (mini strokes) At least I am not crazy aaaahhh ha ha ha. Ohh I forgot I am a bit crazy.  I don't want any one feeling sorry for me. I have lived with this for so long now that it is just part of who I am. I deal with each episode as it comes and so far I am the winner. I am happy in my life and that is what matters.
I do share about lupus and the things that go on with me. Not for pity but to inform. If you share your body with lupus or if you know someone with lupus you might just get a little more insight. If you think you may have symptoms of lupus be sure to visit this site and your doctor
I receive many letters and emails asking about lupus,
my hope is that I am a help and can encourage others.

OK enough of that..... LOL
On with the painting!!!! Yeahhhhh

I started this as a deep and hard colored abstract. It seem so dark and foreboding. Hmm I guess I was showing my feeling colors. :) but I didn't want that so I made crooked windows and  lovely desert stucco  colored  walls. Hmm to clean, too sterile. I got in the shower with the painting and started working the wet canvas. I had so much fun making this!  Wet, paint on me and all over the tub.
It is one I will keep.

HI Nicole. Happy that your eye is better and I do love your sense of humor. First I want to thank you for that soothing comment you left on my blog earlier. I truly appreciated it. I will refer to it. Wow!!! That is some abstract painting. I love the title. It feels like there are so many layers on it. The colors are perfect, lots of movement. In my opinion Broken Window Glass is outstanding work by you. Excellent.:) Have a great weekend.

I have a friend whose 15 year old daughter was diagnosed with lupus and she was terrifed that it was going to be a death sentence. I mentioned you and how you are my age which much relieved her. Thank you so much for being so open about it.

I am so sorry to hear about your friends daughter. Being informed about the disease outside of the doctor's office is one of the best things she can do.

You got in the shower with the canvas!?? I can't believe you did that, haha! Whatever you did in there, it turned out wonderful! So glad your eye is getting better. I must admire you for dealing with your sickness the way you do.

It is so inspiring to hear that you don't let your illness stop you living and loving life. Your painting turned out great. First time I've heard of the 'shower' technique.

Nicole I admire your positive attitude in the face of lupus-I'm not sure I could remain so upbeat.
I really like this piece-the colours and textures are wonderful and it is an upbeat piece so your great attitude shines through in your art as well!

Great painting! Thanks for the MRI update. Terry has RA, HBP and COPD. He often has "events" that are unexplained and you hate when that happens. Lots of expense and worry with no answer. It's good that you write about your Lupus. I never feel sorry for you and don't think that you are looking for sympathy. Living with someone that has no cure diseases, I understand you feelings. Bravo to you and to mine...non complainers. Hope today is a good day for you.
xx, Carol

It sounds like you had such fun creating this canvas and that's what life is all about--enjoying!

Great paintings and thanks for sharing about your lupus. They tested me for lupus 2 years ago, and luckily that test came back negative. But you never know do you?

Your spirit and spunk in face of physical trials is quite admiral and obviously a testament to who you are.
I love your abstract painting as well and understand why it's a keeper!

I'm glad to read that you are healing up--so sorry to hear about your health problems. I am familiar with Lupis and the hardship it causes. ((hugs)) I also express my emotions as I draw--I always have. In some ways, making art gives my heart an outlet and as my feelings flow through my pencil or brush, I actually do feel better. Have good weekend and keep that humor popping. A good perspective is necessary for life! ((hugs))

Nicole, the colors are gorgeous. I have heard of people really getting into their work. I have never heard of anyone getting into the shower with their work. You must try it more often. The results are wonderful.

This is lovely, my friend. My daughter has psoriasis. Diseases like those are hard to face. We need courage to go on and find balance. Thanks for sharing your art and heart with us!

I am so sorry about the balance (falling over). That is horrendous to me. I do have 'eye' migraines (no pain, just can't see for awhile). The painting is wonderful, oh my gosh, I love it. To think, you did that in the shower. . .Great Work. Blessings, Janet PPF
