PAINT PARTY FRIDAY MAY 30

Hi Everyone!

Wow this has been a wild and crazy day. Everything seems to be just a bit off. Ya know you are 1 minute late and the bank is closed for lunch, or you know you called in your meds but the pharmacy doesn't have a record of them. Your Hotmail doesn't work today and  your phone is dead. A few other weird things too. REALLLY???? I am NOT KIDDING. All I can do is laugh about it.
Tomorrow will be better. (big smile)
So I am posting for Paint Party Friday along with some other very talented artists who join in each week. A big thanks to Eva and Kristin for making sure we have a place to show off our skills.
Be sure to visit PPF and take a look at who is creating what. It is so much fun.
Tonight I have two paintings.

The first is an abstract done on a 12x12 gallery canvas.

The second is another abstract that started very different from how it ended up. I took a cue from artist Pat Lambrecht Hould and added some Variegated marble leaf. I really like the effect it brings to a painting. Real life shows all the shine much better, but you get the idea.

 Hope you enjoyed the paintings

Some days are like that of yours...let's forget them.

I love abstracts in generally, but I find it hard to paint those myself. My mind has still so many locks.

Your abstracts have great rhythm, I love the color world and the power you've created.

It's all good! I like abstracts as well. Usually I take the paint left over from my acrylics and do what are termed "palette paintings" which are lots of fun, and I hate wasting paint, so it works out well. Some of them have so much texture they look like modeling paste.

Hello Nicole, I know what you mean about wild and crazy days. In my experience it's not one thing, but a number that come down at the same time. We have to be warrioresses and march on. I am loving your vibrant abstracts. Your selection of color and movement always are eye-catching. Love the look of your blog as well. Thank you for visiting. I appreciate and look forward to your comments. Have a lovely week.

Beautiful! I love both of your abstracts, they have such great colors and dynamic movement. My Friday was a mess too, but hopefully today will be better for us both!

All very nice but I love the depth and movement in the first one!! This may mean nothing to you but this is the week that retrograde amps up so you can expect more of these weird little annoyances...we have had the same! Take care and don't buy any electronics until late July!

The colours and vibrancy are terrific! Love them. I'm afraid I'm not very good with abstract art. I see figures everywhere .... Hope next week will be less weird ;-)

Lovely abstracts. I like the first one especially.

Your pictures are beautiful! I love all these colors and how cool they work together. I also knows days like the one you have described. It's really strange sometimes and sometimes I suspect, that there is maybe a reason to look for in the planets or full moon etc. although I do not really believe in astrology.

The first painting is my favorite! Very fluid! And, I have never heard of a bank closed for lunch! That is crazy!

I love abstract art but I have a hard time with creating it myself - kudos to you!
