Hi Everyone!
Yeahhh Friday the 13th. It is one of my favorite days. It is very lucky for me....hmmmm maybe I should buy a lotto ticket. LOL
This is Paint Party Friday a big thanks to Eva and Kristin for hosting all of us who live art.
I finished my Huichol dog. I named him Dog Dreams. He is a gift for a friend of mine. One of the nicest people I know. Ever have a person in your life that cares and gives from the heart with now strings attached. Well this is how my friend is. He is humble and loving and would probably be a bit shy if I mentioned his name. He knows who he is though and Dog Dreams is just a small way to say, "Thank you for all your goodness."
The gift was delivered.
It started with a drawing on fabric then Huichol beaded
The finish is adhered to a painted canvas.
Close up of the beadwork
Cording went around the outside of the dog
Happy Paint Party Friday

Nicole, this looks more time-intensive and detailed-oriented that using a needle and thread. Great job!

What a wonderful dog and incredible beadwork! Just lovely!
Just stunning! It sort of reminds me of pointillism--up close you see all the individual beads/holes, but from a short distance away, the subject and beauty become clear. Have a great weekend! (Excuse if this is a duplicate comment...I went to hit publish & it jumped to another page)
