SOUTACHE WHAT ELSE?

Hi Everyone!

As most of you know I took the last two weeks of Dec. 2012 off. It was wonderful! OK so I didn't go on some exotic trip, or bead my brains out. Nope I cleaned my house and baked and watched movies without working at the same time. I stayed off the computer and really enjoyed being a total homie. Ha ha as in home body. Now that my Beadwright etsy store is open and my Beadwright web site is back up I am busier than ever. I think I will be taking more of those two weeks off during the year.
So what is new in Beadwright Land? Ahhhhh Soutache cording. There are some amazing pieces of jewelry made with this cording. This new use for Soutache cording, jewelry making, is not all that new, however, the designing and incorporating of beads allows stunning pieces of art.
Here are a few from Auras who lives in Poland and is owner of Judwiga Betley Unique Jewelry
Visit her web site to so much more of her incredible creations.

Here is a wonderful piece made my good friend Triz

Oh and Triz uses Nicole's BeadBacking. Perfect for Soutache and of course bead embroidery

I love the way Triz has incorporated so many different shaped beads.

Now if you are even a bit inspired head on over to my Beadwright etsy store for some bright colored Soutache cord and lots of beads, cabs, and Rivolis to create with.

Feels good to take a break now and then--I find it gives me more energy to get going again! Very colorful and detailed work by Auras and Triz!

I'm glad you took time for yourself Nicole, It seems I can only accomplish that when I go away, still everything around the house needs doing, so it waits, I'm trying to get my garden in order (this is pruning time here) and my house in order, geesh, there's a lot to do. I like staying off the computer THAT is like a vacation :)

Happy New Year to you and yours, Rochelle

Wow, gorgeous pieces!!! Thanks for sharing them with us, Nicole!

One of these days I'd like to add soutache to my bead embroidery. I bet it would look stunning with sequins.

Welcome back! I'm glad you had a relaxing break. <3

I just made myself get out the Soutache braids I've had for 6 months...and I do like it lots. Need to practice more with it. It is fun to get the colors and designs working in a pleasing pattern.
