Hi Everyone!

I know that a lot of times we as artists get "stuck" in colors. The other day I took a look at my bead shelf. You know, that is the place where my finished pieces sit. Hmmmmm...... I saw a flow of browns, greens, and beige's in every variegation and in every bead finish made. Yes I do get stuck on colors and earthy colors are my favorites. In my defense, I am a very colorful person. I wear bright and bold colors, especially in my hats. So what attracts me so much to these earthy bead colors??? If anyone out there has the answer please comment. LOL With that said I wanted to share with you the ring that I finished just a few minutes ago. I call this Picasso Pie Ring. I do like making these rings, they are for people like me who don't do silver or gold work. Hope you like my colors.

Honor and Integrity in Life in Art

  1. Yum! I bring the coffee and you the pie. Great colors!
Earthy colors? I think earthy tones and materials make us go back to the roots and enjoy the beauty of natural materials and nature itself. Nature creates the most awesome works of art and we as artists try to copy Mother Nature in one way or the other. That's my explanation (and I love colorful designs and clothes, too).

  2. Very nice! Gorgeous colours! :)

  3. I love it! So colorful and happy! :)

  4. Very pretty ring!!!!!!
I only wear bright colored clothes.
I enjoy making bright colored jewelry...LOL!!!!

  5. Thanks so much everyone. I am glad you like the colors. I love them. I can't take the ring off. LOL

  6. That is just so cool, Nicole! I think it's great to push yourself out of your colour comfort zone every now and then :-) No wonder you can't take this's gorgeous! It looks like it would be really comfy to wear too :-)
