ON THE OREGON COAST

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday Mike, (my hubby) decided that I was having a hard day and a bit fragile. He grabbed a few things told me to get a coat and get in the car. What could I do??? We drove north on the coast hwy. It was cold, gray, raining and crappie as it is most days here. But seeing the seals playing in the pacific and the pelicans flying over head lightened my spirits. We stopped at my Nye Cottage Beads where I visited with my good friend Linda and the owner. As we were talking I mentioned I needed a counter case. She had one and wouldn't take any cash for it. We are trading out classes. Hey, how can I go wrong with that? We drove into Depot Bay and had lunch at Tidal Raves. Absolutely the best food and service on Hwy 101. Then up the road just a few more miles to Roots Beads. I love bead shopping with Mike!!! He points out all kinds of goodies and if I am hesitant on buying something he leans down and whispers, "Honey, it's money in the bank." So I got some pretty cool things there. Then on the way home, around 4 PM the sun came out. Hurraayyyy!!!! It was a very nice day.

Here are a few photos of the Ocean.

The first two are out the window of Tidal Raves

The whales come in this cove in the fall. It is very cool

He's a keeper! Exactly what my husband does when our overloaded house gets the best of me. He says where do you want to go. I grab my purse and we usually head toward the Lake Michigan coast. Water and Sun are my healing elements. Any little town along the way offers the diversion needed to soothe the soul.

I like Mike's way of thinking! Nothing boosts the spirit like spending time together and bead shopping!

He's a treasure for sure! Like mine (except for the bead shopping) they just know what we need! How lucky we are!

Hugs

Nothing like a drive on the Oregon coast with your sweetie to cheer a person up, especially if it involves lunch and bead shop stops.
