Hi Everyone!
I have been trying to keep very busy these last few weeks. Keeping my mind occupied and not dwelling on the passing of my siblings. Wondering if the care I gave was good enough and that I did all the right things. My sister's birthday was August 5th so that day was a bit tough, but I made sure I had things lined up to take my time and my thoughts away. So life goes on and life must be treated with loving hands. I have always tried to be an inspiration in my life. I thought... it was for art. I try to promote artists, give advice, and help people with business. I know that there is room for everyone in the arts and so sharing what I know has never been a threat to me. Sooooo I am getting a bit winded here. Since the day I returned home from caring for my brother, Vince, I have experience one blessing after another. Some coming from amazing and unexpected places. Some of these blessings are for business, some from friends, and some through this place we call cyber. Today I received the most touching email. When I read it to my brother, Steve, he even got chocked up. So I wanted to share it with all of you. Not for my recognition, rather to say that WE never know how our actions and words will effect others. How things we do and say in every day life touch people. At first I felt like a cry baby taking about the passings of my family, but all of you reminded me that we are all in this together. Thank you.
So here is my email from Ann. Stop by and give her a good word and tell her Nicole sent you.
Nicole,
You are such a sweetheart. You have been such an inspiration to me, as you helped your brother and family..the strength you showed was amazing. I just wanted you to know, because as we go through this, I will continue to remember what a powerful, strong woman you are and try to follow your example. I feel it is important for you to know that I am someone who will be a better person through your example...THANK YOU!
Your grateful friend,
Ann

That was indeed a beautiful email. You did everything you could Nicole. I'm sure your brother Vince treasured each moment you were there. I feel your sadness but I also feel your desire to keep on going. It's what your sister and Vince would want. And luckily you are doing that. You are a very strong woman. God Bless You. Have a great Sunday.
Hi Nicole. I read your comment on my blog about trying the Horchata. I know what you mean, it does have to be an acquired taste. Try it with rice instead of oatmeal. Toast the rice (cup) and
1 cinnamon broken up stick together, blend it with milk and sugar and then strain it into a glass or pitcher. Have a great Sunday. Take care.
