THE BEADING LIFE

Hi Everyone!

For those of you who don't know me or don't know me well I have been beading for over 46 years. Wow!!!! I have had so many blessings and been honored so many ways that when I sit back and think of it I get a bit emotional. The last few weeks since I have been home from CA. has been another whirl wind of beading in my life. Some wonderful things have been happening. Some I can't share yet but you will know soon. Today as I was designing some earrings I found that I needed some head pins. (Good thing I have a bead store exactly two 1/2 blocks from my house. Yes, I know I am soooooo spoiled. LOL! Now this is not your everyday bead store. No it is actually an antique store gone art. Spaces are rented out to antique dealers but a few years ago Lily rented a space to sell beads. I have posted about her in the past. It is also the place where we hold our bead meetings. It is a warm and inviting place. The owner, Joni, has decided to sell and she sold to some good friends that will keep the arts going. So I said all of that to say as I walked into the store I was introduced to the new owners. They are a lovely couple with exciting plans to increase all art in the store. As we were speaking the front case was empty. Tom smiled and asked if I wanted it. WELLLLLL OF COURSE I WANT IT. Hurraayyy. A front full case??? So I purchased my beads and headed home to get my things. By the way the name of the store is Brown Dog Antiques and inside it's LilyWater Studio and Beads. Here are the new owners, Tom and Patricia. So when you come to Florence, OR. be sure to stop in and say hello. We are right on HWY 101

Those are great photos. There's nothing wrong with being spoiled. As long as you don't throw tantrums on the floor Nicole. Tee hee. :) Have a great rest of the week and happy beading.

Congratulations! The case looks exciting as does their shop.
BTW, you don't look old enough to have been beading for 46 years! It must have been a typo or you started while in the womb!

Have a great day Nicole

So that means you started beading when you were born right? That front case is so spoiled to have your creations displayed in it!

Congrats! How exciting for you! Lots of luck!

PS If I had a bead store 2 blocks away, I have a feeling I would be broke, LOL!

The store does indeed look very cozy. I am going to admit that I am working on my computer zoom feature to get a closer look at that GORGEOUS gourd art before you!
