A short bio;
My name is Ruthie and I've been doing crafty things as long as I can remember. My Mom is a crocheter and has worked in a number of other mediums. She taught me young to have an appreciation for creating beauty. I fell in love with jewelry creation about 10 years ago, but I only began to get serious about it a few years ago. I've been selling my work for just over a year now and I love it! I battle severe health problems and this gives me something to do to fill my days that lets me feel like I'm still a productive member of society. Plus, like I said, I just love it!
What inspires you to create;
I'm inspired and challenged by many different things. Looking at different forms of art often gives me ideas, sometimes I'll be inspired by something simple like a color or a design on a pair of sandals. I also love participating in challenges like the ones over at Thursday Sweet Treats (http://thursdaysweettreat.blogspot.com/) because it forces me to push myself as an artist.
What items to you like best to create with Types of materials;
I'm a very ADD artist - so I work with a lot of different materials! My favorites would have to be my seed beads though. I love the many different things you can do with bead weaving! There are so many colors, stitches, and possibilities out there!
What are your expectations for the near future for you personally and artistically;
I have a lot of projects in the works that are challenging me to grow as an artist - so I'd say simple I'm expecting growth.
