PPF Lots of art.

Hi Everyone!

Update on my eye. I will just say it is not good. That black spot that appeared after surgery has grown into a blob of stationary floaters. I have an apt on Monday, I sure hope he has some information for me. Last apt he said he didn't know what it was. REALLY? Ok enough of that.

Trying not to focus on my eye I have been creating art all week. Part for AEDM and Rain's Garden. Both so much fun. Of course art for Paint Party Friday too. LOL
So for PPF I drew this little guy.  I have not drawn in quite awhile so this is not my best.
I didn't like the paper.
These are some of the pieces I created all week in case you have not see the posts.

The next 3 are part of my shock art series.

A few abstracts

Paint Party Friday 11/9

Hi Everyone!

I just got home from the best bead meeting. I have a connection with each one of these amazing women that attend and feel so blessed to have them in my life. So because it is so late this will be a short read. Things seem to be going pretty well with life right now. Shhhh don't want to say that too loudly. LOL I have my first meeting for the Art Committee next Wednesday and I am excited about that. I have been making cabs and getting some painting in. As far as the watercolors. I am coming along with that slowly. It feels like I am not relaxed with it. So as I tell my students RELAX. For art this week.

I just love this kid. I am happy with the fingers and the nose.

Just playing around and this is what I get
The photo isn't very good, she is actually darker than this,
but I love her face.

Some cabs made. These are glass and ready for beading.

You can get these and more at beadwright.com

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 3/25

Hi Everyone!

I am not sure where this week has gone but when I woke up this morning I thought OMG PPF and I have nothing to show. Well kinda..... I posted a few days ago that a dear friend asked me to design a Pot Leaf bead pattern for her. I did and then thought I really need to test the pattern. I pulled out some beads thinking how the heck am I going to do this with lupus hands. I have no feeling in my hands. Hmmm I rubbed some bees wax on my fingers to keep the needle at least in my hold and went for it. Now I use to be a very fast beader, I mean "fast" so when it took me two flippen days to bead a two inch piece I was upset.  I am not one to give up easily though. I spoke to myself saying,  "You have been a bead artist for some 50 years, it is second nature, there is a rhythm to your craft so just do it!" I closed my eyes and began to bead. I of course opened them too ha ha ha..... but it was there, that natural ease of needle picking up a single bead and sewing it in place. That feel of peace in my soul as one row, two rows and then the last row finished.
The satisfaction that lupus doesn't get to win this one.
I already have bead patterns for Pot Leaf Jewelry and now for lighter covers.
Some one all ready asked if I smoke. No I don't, but it is legal here in OR.
Thanks to Eva and Christen for hosting Paint Party Friday
