Friday Face OFF FFO

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your face art.
You know, ANY type of face, nature, the face of a flower, photography, drawings, paintings, AI. There just needs to be a face in your blog post, a link back to my blog and please use the image below.
Thank you.
After last weeks drawing a bird I have become entranced with drawing bird heads. So this week you get this one.
Starts like this.
I used graphite for the beak.

Getting color in
Ended like this. I tried to get a better photo of the eye. It's very shinny and looks wet but my camera won't capture it.
I've not been very well these last 5 weeks and I'm just trying to use my time creating fun art. Not going for realistic.

Some AI faces

Now for some features.

A reminder that FFO
Portrait Challenge is April 24.
Create an image with
one or all of these expressions
Happy, Sad, Tired, Surprised and or Anger.

Also, join in with SITAR. Anything art.
That's it for me.
Now show me your face

Hello, my dear!
A wonderful drawing of a bird, probably a parrot.
I also felt bad and still do. The medication gives me a rash.

Best regards, and have a good Friday.

Oh, that sucks, 5 weeks already. All my best wishes, energy and hugs on the way to you, dear host! And I love that bird and you reminded me... I bought charcoal-pencils yesterday and the black things still sit in the black backpack! I´ve overseen and forgotten! Best wishes to Lupus taking a huuuuuuge holiday!

Great bird portrait. Well done!

I am really enjoying the bird heads you are creating. I am amazed at the way the feathery parts are all just lines, yet have a look of soft texture.

Dear Nicole, your parrot looks wonderful, even if the photo doesn't quite capture it.
I also like your AI pictures!
Happy Easter 🌸 & all the best from Austria,

Your bird head this week is another fabulous drawing. I kind of like the not 100% realistic, but you can still tell what kind of bird it could be. You definitely captured the details. Another awesome piece my friend. I hope you feel better soon also. Hugs-Erika

The bird is beautiful. That hooked beak could do such damage.

Be strong, have fun, I hope you are feeling better soon. I am working on a painting of George Washington for our July gallery show. His hair was so curly.

I love you bird drawings ... probably because I love birds and you certainly capture their allure. So did you capture the wet look of the eye in your drawing even though the camera wouldn't capture it? If so ... how did you do it? I have tried making things look wet and haven't figured it out yet. So if you are willing to share your technique, I would love it :) As always a great post, Nicole. Hope you start feeling better soon ...
