Hi Everyone!
I'm feeling much better. Actually stayed up all day today. I have a lupus rash on my stomach and arms. Soooo annoying. I do have a cream for it. This will pass too.
I mentioned in a previous post that I
ordered some new art paper. I needed some larger sizes. There is an art store in Coos Bay that has a great selection of art paper and the prices reasonable. OMG! They closed at the end of Dec. last year. It upsets me to see a privately owned business of any type close.
I found that DickBlick was having a sale and ordered paper. It took 11 days for it to arrive via FedEx. Finally it showed up yesterday. The paper was packaged extremely well.
Have you?
I'm going to try some this weekend.
I have a few projects in mind for the Stathmore 24x18" So much fun getting art supplies.
Hope all are well.
Nicole

Bom dia minha querida amiga Nicole. Desejo muita saúde e no tratamento contra o lúpus. Grande abraço do seu amigo brasileiro e uma excelente quinta-feira.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your new art paper. I hope it works well for you. The cream for thr lupus rash, too.
ReplyDeleteSince the lake house is even more rural for shopping than the woods property was I order just about everything online these days--It is sad to see a small business not survive though
ReplyDeleteNicole espero que estejas bem, sim é triste quando uma loja é fechada, desejo uma feliz quinta-feira bjs.
ReplyDeleteThat's great Nicole. I'm glad to hear you feel better and you're managing to stay active.
ReplyDeleteFabriano offers premium papers for art. It was established in 1264.
Thank you for writing down your interesting comment on my blog, Nicole. I appreciate it.
Greetings
...be a survivor.
ReplyDeleteI have used some Fabriano watercolor paper. I really don't remember if I liked it or not though. I obviously didn't hate it- that I would remember.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've got a pad of Fabriano paper! It's great for watercolours and gouache.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad when small business close down. And art/craft stores seem to closing at a record rate. I haven't tried Fabriano paper. Let us know what you think. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHappy survival day. I am sure getting the new paper delights you.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better. I try to buy from the few independent local shops around.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that you are feeling better. 😊 Happy ❤️ Day to you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you are feeling better, Nicole. I hope that rash will disappear as well.
ReplyDeleteLet us know what you think of the Fabriano paper. Like you, I have never worked with it.
Yes, I also get upset when locally owned businesses have to close. It has happened a lot since the pandemic. My favorite art supply store went out of business a few years ago. Now there is one left, it's on the other side of town and more expensive. The staff is a bit stuck up as well which I do not appreciate.
So glad you are feeling better
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Glad to hear you are better !
ReplyDeleteBoth papers are fun to work with depending on your medium ~ does seem to take awhile for items to arrive ~ way of the world ~
I do hope your new art paper works out for you!
ReplyDeleteI am happy you take the darn Lupus so positive!!! Have fun with the new paper - I tried out new colors and mind you, sold out now! Was I lucky, they´re such fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're better!! Yes Nicole, it makes me very sad when private businesses close. I've never tried paper like that! It took a while to arrive, but America is a huge country, here in Greece it usually takes 1-2 days for products to reach their destination.
ReplyDeleteThat’s good news. Wishing you the best of luck
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing better!
ReplyDeleteLovely older pieces
ReplyDeleteI've used Fabriano for watercolor and it's quite nice. But the good news in this post is that you are feeling better. Hooray!
