Friday Face OFF 1/8/2026

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your face art.
You know, ANY type of face, nature, the face of a flower, Photography, drawings, paintings. There just needs to be a face in your blog post.

Two notices.
The first,
FFO Challenge
The new challenge is to create a portrait of anyone you want. It can be your family, friends, actors, faces you find on the internet, or a perfect stranger that will allow you a photo to work from and to show with your portrait. You can work in any medium, except photography and you have until Friday January 30, 2026.  Make it fun and let's see what you come up with.
Remember this is optional. I still want to see all of your wonderful faces.
The second,
Starting this Sunday I'm changing Sunday in the Art Room. It will be open to anyone who wants to just talk and create art. To start it off I did suggest showing off your art space. Click here for more details.

Now for my art this week.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece.
These are the images I used, changing the colored photo to black n white.

She starts like this.
Then this. I did change her hair a bit.
The start of her freckles.
Working on the face.
Blending the freckles into her skin and making her teeth smaller. Like in the photo.

Then I decided to color her blouse. I really like this effect.
I'm happy with the likeness.

Here are some new AI I've created. If you would like to give AI a try then check out NightCafe
No monsters today. More surreal and fantasy.

It's time for some features.

Mia, she is very generous with her AI pieces. They are lovely too.

Roentare Melbourne Street Photography.
Great photos every time.

Michelle It's a Small Town Life. Always interesting post and beautiful photos.
Thank you all for sharing your magnificent art with FFO.
That's it for me. Now it's time to show me your face.

Wow, just wow! The photo of this beautiful woman is already fantastic, Nicole, but your drawing is amazing. The colored blouse gives it some extra pep. I like her so much!

An outstanding drawing, especially her eyes, nose and mouth! You know, I hate seeing a buzzcut on a man because it inevitably makes him look thuggish like a criminal. But on a woman? SEXY! Yes, I have a double standard, lol!

Your portrait is really beautiful, Nicole! I don't know how you do it! I'm glad there were no monsters today. 😂 Those in your Monday post are truly scary, especially the second one with the purple tongue. 😱 My favorite drink is plain water, and I drink a lot of it every day. I hope that you don't have to stay on a heavy dose of prednisone too long. Doing that gave me a moon face. 😂 I was packing "office supplies" for Hawaii today and included heavy white paper and colored pencils for your challenge. I have no idea what I'll draw. 😂. But I'll do something. Have a great weekend! ❤️

Wow, she came out very beautifully, love the freckles especially. My, you set the standard high up! And I love it. As your AI - I lost out (again) - I call it "travel-stress"... But I´ll try...

I can see why you are happy with the likeness -- I would be thrilled if any portrait I did turned out half as well!

...Nicole, you sure have been busy. I hope that eye is less of a problem every day.

She's really gorgeous Nicole. Coloring her blouse was perfect, but leaving her black and white was also very smart. I also like this because last week when I had my hair cut she cut it very short. (I asked for it.) Not quite a buzz cut, but it looks sve a great Friday and start to your weekend. hugs-Erika
