Wednesday A Little of Everything

 Hi Everyone!

It's been a busy week, with everyday having to take care of some sort of business. I have the next 6 days free and then it begins again.
Today another reminder that this Friday the 28th is FFO Self Portrait challenge.
Ha ha this is not me, I'm certainly not this well preserved.
However, the challenge is optional, you may still join in FFO with any type of face. I always look forward to seeing the diversity and wonderful art that all of you present.
One of the things Mr. M. and I had to do yesterday was change our insurance. We met with a very nice woman that got both Mr. M. and I the best policy ever. When I first spoke to her on the phone she informed me that insurance company's are no longer paying the agents and that it would be $25.00 each. However, after we speaking with her she informed us that "There is no charge. Insurance companies want people on an advantage plans and they will pay the agents for that." So, we didn't have to pay anything.
We got home early and I decided that we should have our turkey dinner. Seriously, for us, what's the difference?
It's not like we have family to share it with. My kids are on the East cost, and my brothers are spread all over the country. I did forget to take a photo though. Here is one from google.
Haa haa haa no this is NOT my table. We had a very kidney friendly dinner with turkey breast, roasted sweet potatoes, fresh string beans, and my whole cranberries I canned last year. Now we get left over turkey sandwiches. YUM!

I guess that's it for now. Today I'm going to finish up a colored pencil, abstract face and just take it easy today.
What are  your plans?
Make them good what ever they are.

Nice you saved $50 and then had a great turkey dinner! My plans today involve getting my hair cut and going to the grocery store. Woo hoo!

I assume you're talking about health insurance, not home insurance (the later one has become a big problem for many people here). I'm glad that I'm still insured through my husband's health insurance and only have to do the necessary Medicare to avoid penalties later, like Plan A and the drug coverage.
It will be my husband and myself for Thanksgiving as well and certainly no turkey. We'll have chicken quarters and roasted vegetables, and today I'll make Tiramisu for dessert. Some good wine to go with it.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Maybe the fresh green beans, which you had at dinner, were picked in your garden :-) Great to hear you didn't have to pay anything.

Saving money is always reason for celebrating and giving thanks. Enjoy the rest of the week. We're relaxing around the house and keeping things low key. It'll be just the two of peacefully having a lovely dinner. Have a good evening, dear, Nicole, and y'all have a blessed Thanksgiving! xo

Not our TG, but we did have the Festive Special at the restaurant today. It included stuffing and cranberry, and chicken instead of turkey was fine. But for us, this is kinda our Christmas dinner.

That was great that the woman helped you get a good plan and without a charge! The photo of the Thanksgiving table looks very authentic. Interesting that you ate your Thanksgiving meal before Thanksgiving. Being a vegetarian, I'll be eating tofu tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving.

I went to one of those agents to help me navigate Medicare. I loved that they help for free and the insurance companies pay for them. It makes no sense that medicare should be sooooo confusing. I feel bad I won't have a face for Friday since I haven't finished mine yet and won't have time in the next 2 days to get it done. I hope you have a great turkey dinner and then holiday. Last year we had a Thanksgiving snowstorm and we celebrated later, so whatever works for you is what works. :) hugs-Erika

Sounds like you had a good day! I've been cooking since early this morning. I am the hostess this year :)

That sounds like a surprisingly smooth insurance win and a cosy, well-earned turkey dinner with leftover sandwiches included

Good to have a turkey dinner, we often have one in the evening.
Like your AI table, turned out well.

Enjoy your turkey sandwiches. I think that’s often the best part!

I hope you got a really good plan that will cover all of your needs.
I spent my "free time" yesterday making a pecan/walnut pie crust. (something I have never made before.) It is actually easy. I spent more time reading recipes and deciding than actually making it. This morning I will be making the custard filling and baking it. Our dinner will be at 6 this evening. So, it will have time to chill after that.

Boa terça-feira minha querida amiga Nicole. Grande abraço carioca e do Brasil.

So glad they didn't charge you. Nice!
Allie and I are hanging out peacefully and I was left ham and sweet potatoes before they left for Leah's sister's. I prefer being here with Allie. This year, anyways. Have a very happy Thanksgiving. :)
