Hi Everyone!
Thank you for all the nice compliments on my very first colored pencil drawing on FFO. I have also received several emails from people telling me how difficult colored pencil is for them. In my opinion, I want to share the best youtube instructor for colored pencil. If you want an understanding in colored pencils and a host of free ebooks and worksheets this is where you want to be.
Her name is Kirsty Partridge. This is where you should start if you are a beginner like me.
I have down loaded and printed several of the ebooks and a work sheet.
This has 18 pages of total teachings.
of ya know my fave, hair.
She offers a lot more. I don't normally do this, download teachings, but these are so good and I really want to excel in colored pencils, so I did.
Yesterday I received a package from my kids. OMG!!! They are so good to me.
If you want to learn or just want to reunite yourself with colored pencil art check out Kirsty.
Have a great day today.
Nicole
I’ll pass this along to someone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this useful information Nicole!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicole! I'm definitely checking these tutorials out, especially the one on skin tones which I find the most difficult to do. And what a wonderful gift of Prismacolour Coloured Pencils! That's the brand I use and they are great.
ReplyDeleteNice to boost her signal. Enjoy your pencils.
ReplyDeleteWow. What a super video. I have so little experience with colored pencils that I feel like I became an expert (not really but it feels that way) just watching. Thanks for much for sharing Nicole. And you do have super kids to send you such a great gift. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThank you sooo much Nicole awesome gifts too hugs
ReplyDelete...being a bit lazy, I'll just sit back and enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Kirsty's video and her colored pencil guide for picking accurate colours.
ReplyDeleteI know a couple of people who might be really interested in this.
ReplyDeleteWell you are very lucky that your children sent you a gift of what you like, so lovely of them.
ReplyDeleteThe video is good too....we can't download here in Australia if you know what I mean.
Thank you, Nicole. I will definitely check Kirsty.
ReplyDeletethe technical processes that are involved in creative arts are always interesting to a non artist like me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see those wonderful colours it makes me want some! I don’t know what for. I just want some!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, I will watch the video later. What I did notice is that the checklist really applies to all art if you are going for realism .
ReplyDeleteYour kids chose well, those are nice pencils.
I need to check these out. Colored pencils are NOT my strong point!
ReplyDeleteI will check her out for sure! I have never been confident with colored pencils. Thanks!!! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your pencils.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks for the info, Nicole! And kudos to your kids for sending you the gorgeous colored pencils. Prismacolor are excellent pencils ~ my favorites.
ReplyDeleteDear Nichole you have such a sweet family 🥹🥰
ReplyDeleteI found your sharing interesting and very helpful actually 🤗
You reminded me our primary drawing teacher who would teach us how to use pencil coulor ,it was so much fun because she was awesome at her job 🥰👍
Oh so lovely to find out how to use pencils and also making and choosing pencils for skin tones. Oh I am not sure I will be colouring my self portrait. thinking... I think I will keep making little portraits to practice on first. Feeling nervous about pencil crayons. :) I will test it out in the art kitchen. lol :) Have a lovely day and see you Friday! :)
