Friday Face OFF Lucky Me

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your face art.
You know, ANY type of face, nature, the face of a flower, Photography, drawings, paintings. There just needs to be a face in your blog post.

This week I have decided to teach myself how to draw with colored pencils. Why? Because I was reorganizing my art room and found all of my colored pencils. While drawing I mentioned to MR. M. what I was doing and wished we had the money for me to buy some graphitint pencils. (They are very expensive) Mr. M. hobbles upstairs. A few minutes later he hands me a new set of graphitint pencils, some Ticonderoga colored pencils and a new set of graphite pencils. The best part about this set is it has 6 matt graphite pencils that I have been wanting. Mr. M. doesn't use these any more so they are now mine.

One can never have enough art supplies.
Now for my piece for this week.
I was going through some art paper and found two sketches that I made years ago. This is the first one.
I have no idea where I found this face.
She ended up like this.
It's AI time.
Do you remember this guy from Monster Monday?
YAY I made top 20%

At night

Some heads

Weird teeth

Something pretty

Join Night Cafe it's free.

It's time to see some features.

Mia is a wonderful artist and always has free downloads.

Carola You don't want to miss this post. Just take my word for it.

Louise is this fun loving, adventurist that will delight you with every post.

Before I end this week's FFO. I want to remind all of you about the self portrait challenge.

I hope you will join in. Here are the rules.

FFO self portrait, I ask that it is really you from any age. Please include the photo you worked from. If you are creating from life, like looking in a mirror just show any photo of you now.
Any medium can be used except a photograph. Ya know, you can't just put a photo of yourself. However, it can be realism, character, surreal, abstract as long as we can see you in the art.
Any kind of expression. Create you as you see yourself. Now, I know this can take awhile. It will for me. So you have until November 28, 2025 to show your face on FFO. That gives you 4 weeks to work on it.

That's it for me. Now it's your turn to show me your face.

Wonderful drawing.
Very much like the night art, especially the horse and rider.
Have no idea how to make AI art. You are excellent at it.
Happy Hallowe’en, Nicole.

Happy Face Off to You

The last AI creation in this series is simply fantastic. I love the colors, the composition - everything. Your face is beautiful as well, I like those freckles in her face. It always amazed me how much the face change in the process - I "compare" with the start and see that nothing has really "changed", but still the entire face is so different from the start. I absolutely love it.
Thank you for the feature - I really appreciate it.

OOooooh new art supplies. I have never heard of graphitint before now. Water-soluble graphite? I need to try that. Guess I will save up for a small set of them. But maybe I will see what you do with them first.
I had seen all of your AI pieces (and more) on Night Cafe earlier this evening. (grin) I suppose i need to actually spend some of my credits and really explore some of the other "engines"

Your Hubby is The Sweetest! Thank you for the BIG SMILE, dear host Nicole! Happy arting! Is that a word? Making art, creating art, ah, you know...
Your unknown woman came out great, too.
And the AIs are weeee.... scary?
It is fascinating what is possible today.
I had a A0 drawing machine when I studied, now we have CAD-programs.
I live in Germany, you in the United States and we can communicate.
I like the Treat, not the Trick, and no sweets. Happy Halloween!

I feel quite deprived now. I have no art supplies at all! Just as well, really, my artistic talent sinks below even the morality of politicians. I am very much looking forward to self portraits as they begin to appear. People are brave to do this!

Thank you so much for featuring my creation, Nicole. I love your sketch, you are a great artist.
Enjoy your new art supplies. Great pencils. I have the Derwent pencils too and I love them.
As for the FFO self portrait, I will try to join you, not promising though because my free time is extremely limited these days.
Kisses, my friend.

What a great surprise from your husband. And I totally agree, you can never have too many art supplies. Of course I am once again trying to clean my art space which I let turn into an absolute disaster zone because I probably do have too many supplies. Grin. Great face this week, and happy Halloween to you. hugs-Erika

Great to have new art supplies! Love the face you made. She looks so friendly. Somebody you'd love to talk with.
My supplies have been in boxes, been too busy with the move, and in such poor health for way too long. Just did something about that. ;)

Fabulous sketch and shading, Nicole! I need to buckle down with getting serious on portraits but seem to run out of time with the other zillion things I have going on. I'll get there, though. Have a safe and fun Halloween, m' dear! xo

Hi, Nicole! Your Mr M is a keeper! ~ How thoughtful of him to give you the pencils you craved! I love that face that you drew! It has individuality and character. My stomach clenched when I saw your first AI image. It's terrifying, even if the "thing" says it's nice. The other's are scary too ~ perfect for Halloween! 😱 😂. Thanks for the shout out. I fell behind badly in the last couple of days, so I didn't get a new post up. I decided to just visit around. btw, the seeds I have for you are drying. I'll send them next week. I hope some sprout. I'm still chasing milkweed fluff around the house. It's more fun than dandelion fluff. 😂. Have a great weekend! ❤️
