Sunday

 Hi Everyone!

It's Sunday and right now it is a summer day. 72°F Yay and all year high for us. There is no wind right now but later it will be howling. I've been in the garden just making sure everything is OK. The other day I harvested more beets. This is the second batch grown. I don't know if you can tell but these are good size.

also that day onions and squash. The squash came into the house, the onions to the curing rack.
For food I made the best cabbage salad. Everything from the garden except celery and apples. Cabbage, raw beets, carrots, onions, cucumbers, celery, apples and fetta cheese. Yeah that came from the store to. LOL I topped it with dill from the garden too.

When whole chickens are on sale I buy several. It is one thing Mr. M. can eat. I made this one in my instant pop, then put it under the broiler to brown the top. It was so moist and tender.
I didn't take photos of the final dish. But we had potatoes and brussel sprouts from the garden.
I think that is it for today. I have some drawing to do and later this evening I'm making strawberry preserves. Also getting cucumbers ready to make my famous sweet pickles.
Hope your are having a nice Sunday.
Nicole
