Hi Everyone!
It was a very quiet weekend. I literally did nothing around the house. Our 2 days of 70°F weather ended with an atmospheric river day. We go so much rain our drive way flooded. The days have not warmed up since. 2 days of the high being 70° is NOT FLIPPING SUMMER. I really miss summers. It gets colder every year during the so called summer months. So for you that think my days have cooled down, they never got warm.

On a happy note, that long deep soaking of the ground got my Nasturtiums to come up and even bloom. I didn't think I would see any this year.
String bean blooms
and look how tall they are. I have to add longer stakes.
Cucumber blooms there are 20 cucs that will be ready to harvest in the next few days. These are straight eights. Not pickling cucs. Ahh the shade got me on this photo. However, this is cantaloupe bloom. I'm sure they won't have time to make melons. Too cold here, but it is a pretty plant. I planted this 5 months ago.
I have been finding mushroom growing in my big garden. I think I did last year too. That's soil on top of it. Not sure if these are edible or not. So they get tossed. That's it for now. I do hope your garden is growing.

The weather is unusual here too, as we had a lot of rain this summer.
Be careful with mushrooms.
I hope you have a nice new week ☀️
Beautiful pictures. It's hot here but it's always hot in Las Vegas during the Summer.
Well, the flowers and veggies loved all that rain!
I love potato blossoms. Mine have a lot of foliage but no flowers. Yet. We've had blistering heat, and I wonder if that affected them. I think you'd love a few warm days. Let's hope you get some.
A frustrating stretch of weather, but at least the mushrooms are keeping your garden a little bit interesting, even if they can’t be eaten
Wow ! Your garden is awesome ~ despite the crazy weather.
Weather is crazy everywhere ~ Yesterday was hot and humid today it is cold and windy ~ and we are cold ~ sigh ~
Hugs, an artist reflects ~
My garden is starting to fade, as it does this time of year. Too hot here in the mid nineties with no rain. Your garden is looking wonderful.
The flowers and vegetables certainly appreciated that rain.
All the best Jan
Gardens are fading here already. But I guess that we don't have any late-bloomers at our place. We'll buy some pots of mums later in September.
You have some super flowers. And lucky you to have so many tiny cukes. I have only counted one coming on my plants. AUGH! Well, maybe more will come. I hope you get your warm weather and some summer. hugs-Erika
Lovely blooms
...my vegetable garden is growing a fabulous crop of weeds, but I picked some wonderful tomatoes today!
Nicole, our summers are definitely not the same as those of our childhood!!
Your garden seems to be doing well!
Here, due to the extreme heat,
we have no productions, we hope things will change in September!
It's so frustrating when you don't get a proper summer, especially when you're counting on it. I can't imagine how disappointing it is to have those two warm days and then just have it go back to being cold and rainy. It's great that your garden is still thriving despite the weather, though. It's really encouraging to see the nasturtiums and potatoes blooming and to know you have so many cucumbers on the way. The string beans look amazing, too. It's a shame about the cantaloupe, but it's still nice to see it bloom.
I have a new post up, and I'd love to hear what you think.
thanks
I think that gentle rain, absorbed into the ground, nurturing and beneficial, is but a memory. Now, it’s deluge or nothing. But don’t worry, it has nothing to do with a changing climate due to anthropogenic meddling. That’s all a hoax. Rest assured that Dear Leader Trump and his sycophants have it all under control. He’ll probably get the Nobel for weather, too!
This summer, for us, has been exceptionally hot. In May, we had record rainfall totaling more than 10 inches in most areas of the state.
Your plants are growing very well. I hope you continue to have yields from them.
Ah rains are causing great damage to upper northern areas here these days dear Nichole.
Nature hardly cares when monsoon months arrive but not every year we get such mad rains.
Your shots are uplifting my friend 🥰👍♥️
White bloom is so elegant 🥰♥️
Wish you some warm days dear friend, please wish me some cooler in return 🤗
Qué suerte tienes, unas flores muy bellas. Un abrazo
