Hi Everyone!
In spite of the wind, and my on going protection, the garden is starting to pop.
Being so cool to cold this summer plants are taking longer to grow and produce. I know, sweet potatoes are a warm climate plant but they are growing. Also the peas are better in cold climate. These are the second batch.
The brussel sprouts are almost ready to harvest. They are very heavy feeders and I think I should have fed them more.
This is the back side of the squash patch.
I have harvested a lot of Italian zucchini and some Dark Star zucchini. Much more to come.

The big garden that Mr. M. built for my when I first started to garden always does the best out of all of the garden sites I have. In the corner is lavender, 1st row second batch of beets, 2nd row carrots, 3rd row onions, then the cucs. I'm very happy with all of these.
I still have some broccoli, and finally the eggplants came up, dill, lavender, onions, beets and I can't think what else is there. 
Lots' of happy herbs. This is oregano with marigolds.
This is lemon and the tall plant is a flower that I can't remember the name of. LOL 
This is Salvia and beets. A great combination for growing.
That little one is attached to the larger zuc.

Nicole, I am delirious with your garden skills. Good research really pans out. We put some veggies out too early and they froze up. Second batch of tomatoes just now starting to set fruit. Gala apples are not producing this year, but we have generous crop of honeycrisp apples and gooseberries. Support for bees is working, they are swarming us for our wildflowers gardens again. I am impressed that some plants are in pots and are producing! We also have a problem here due to the extreme heat and frequent wind.
The plants in my garden are flowering and shedding without producing fruit. I believe we will have production by the end of next month!! Have a nice day Nicole!!
Your herbs put mine to shame. I really LOVE your sage. For some reason mine has never been that good. Even your mint is healthier than mine. My oregano died, I bought seed and it died. I just bought more oregano, so we shall see if it does anything this year. You have a very, very healthy growing area. It all looks so good and awesome.

Your garden is doing quite well in spite of the colder weather. I think we are getting all of your "heat" - it has been mid-nineties all week. I was going to mow yesterday, but at 4:30 pm, it was still 94 degrees. I decided that the grass can grow a bit longer.
Using your neighbor's bamboo for trellises is a clever idea, and it's clear you're putting a lot of effort into protecting everything. Good luck with the rest of your harvest.
Your garden looks nice. I love fresh veggies! Everything in grocery stores is so tasteless. I think big farms pick the fruit and veggies while everything is still green for travel. I really hate that! I'd rather have bruised produced that's tasty. Happy gardening, Nicole!

I am loving your garden pictures. We live in an apartment and don't have space in front of our door to have a large garden but my daughter fenced in a small patch of ground in front of our door and has been growing things each year. This year it's sunflowers. If they get big and produce any sunflowers I'll post pictures.
